On "Start from Scratch" Game sounds exactly like Joe Beast, as well lyrically as vocally. What does this mean?
Is Game Joe Beast?
Is Joe Beast Game's ghostwriter?
By the way where is Joe Beast? Somebody heard of him lately? He used to be on Aftermath if I'm not wrong, even made an appearance on The Wash soundtrack.
Somebody got a picture of Joe Beast?
-
hmm thats interesting.. i guess will have to go back and double check the joe beast stuff we have
-
naw their rhyme patterns are way too different. Beast got dropped and i donīt know why Dre signed him the first place coz he will never blow up. i think heīs still fucking with Mel Man coz i think it was Mel Man who wanted to sign him to Aftermath. iīll hook up a picture of him in a minute.
-
hereīs the only pic i could find. heīs in the middle

The Game Feat Joe Beast- Watch Us
that woz a track they did together so i think that establishes that they r two different people but im not too sure there styles are similar. Dre gave beast a wicked beat tho called gangstaz
-
yea that was on the 8 Mile soundtrack with the Snoop voice sample in the hook.
-
thats the nail in the coffin for this then!!

Unless you have a video to this song, the fact that there exists a song with both of them doesn't establish they are two different people. Joe Beast could be Game's alterego. (Take Kool Keith for example)
Although if the guy on the photo is Joe Beast he still could have ghostwritten "Start From Scratch".
"Start From Scratch" and "We ain't" from Documentary both have a flow that resembles much of an other Aftermath artist, respectively: Joe Beast and Eminem.
Like Game's intro says: It's all just a game and "I play the Game". Is Game just an actor?
-
^your an idiot. Start From Scratch doesnīt sound like Joe Beast. and yea Joe ghostwrote it mentioning very personal things and details about Game gettin shot and what not ::) man your an official idiot. let R-Tistic get in this thread and heīll prolly be able to confirm one way or another that Joe Beast doesnīt ghostwrite for Game and that they are certainly not the same person. and comparing Gameīs flow to Joe Beastīs is like comparing Gameīs flow to Snoopīs.
-
LMAO

How about Dre - The Message (very personal track)? He didn't write that shit either. Or what about What's the difference (also very personal track right)? And Forget about Dre (personal track where he deals with all his critics)? definitely written by Eminem.
But I agree with you that Game actually has written some lyrics to the documentary, because there is one line i'm absolutely sure about he wrote:
"I woke up out that coma two thousand and one
'Bout the same time Dre dropped "2001""
Album's released in 1999. Not even the whackest ghostwriter would have come up with that line.
-
Man...the Internet just keeps getting better & better! ;D
-
like i said your an idiot. listen to their rhyme patterns(if your stupid ass knows what that means)and itīll be obvious to anyone with half a brain that Joe doesnīt ghostwrite for Game. and you mentioned flow, do you think people write down flows or what coz if someone ghostwrites for you you are certainly not gonna end up with their flow.

Guy makes my laugh. Have you ever considered that a ghostwriter might change patterns also?
By the way before starting the recordingsessions Jay Z used to show Foxy how to flow the lyrics he made up for her, listen to Ain't no nigga.
Listen also to No by Joe Beast and than listen to Start From Scratch and tell me there isn't any resemblence.
-
Joe Beast is dope as fuck, he's back in the studio working on his album, there where some rumours a while back that he was back with the 'Math, I hope that that's true.
-

Royce 5'9 ghostwrote "The Message" for Dr. Dre, a dedication to his little brother. so its not impossible

It wasn't ment that way and you know it

Naaw it was called "Gangsta" and it's one of my favorite Dre/Mel Man beats (no one has confirmed who produced it, but alot of rumours say it's Dre or Mel Man)
-
Hell yeah, "Gangsta" has an incredible beat. I just wish we had confirmation on who produced it. I'm almost 100% sure that Dre did that one, but who knows for sure. We need Mellowman to confirm it.
-
did you seriously think joe beast and game was the same person lol ? beast does look a bit like game though

Then how was it ment?
"I woke up out that coma two thousand and one
'Bout the same time radio's bumped "2001"
or something?
Even if he ment it this way than he should have said it so. But he didn't. He even opens a song with it, which finally results in:
The falling of the whole concept of the album: making a Documentary.
A documentary based on mistaken facts will lose it's credibility and becomes a bad documentary.
Overall:
Game failed as an mc,
(maybe even worse than Warren G spelling N E X T (N X E T) on What's next,)
aswell as on the concept of his album.
-
Fuck game, I don't like him.

Dre dropped 2001 around the end of the year 1999, Game woke up around the end of the year 2001. Around the same time of the year. Get it, around the same time?
Maybe "The documentary" wasn't that much of a documentary at all, but how can you say he FAILED as an emcee? Selling over 2 million inside the US and a whole shit load of more sales worldwide... I can't call that a flop, really. Everyone knows who Game is.

Eventhough I can consider that a reasonable explanation, you still have to agree that the line sounds plain stupid especially when you're making a documentary. He should not have made the mistake for not changing that line on his record; he failed as an mc, just as warren.
Numbers don't count in my opinion for an mc's faillure. Numbers shouldn't count to anyone who listens to hiphop. Cause if numbers count: Eminem didn't fail either on his latest effort; I think we can all agree Encore was a definite let down. Production wise it was nice, but a very childish Eminem just fucked it up with weird voices, burps, farts and extremely whack hooks.
When an mc failes I won't nessesary call it a flop. Faillure has not nessesary something to do with sales, flops do. The firm album flopped, the doggfather flopped, the aftermath album flopped but they are still in my stereo on a regular basis, so I won't consider them faillures, they all contain some interesting timeless material.
Althought I don't hate the man, Game in my opinion has fucked up a lot of beautiful instrumentals, with his air force ones. Documentary could have been a classic if it either was Rakim's , Hittman's or maybe even 50 Cent's album.

this is one of the most ridiculous arguments ive ever seen ;D

Like I said, the latest news on Joe Beast is that he's back in the studio working on his album, and that he's in talks with Dr. Dre and them to sign with Aftermath Ent...
