I'm really sorry to make ANOTHER thread about this track, but I thought it'd be a good idea to put together a list of all the beats they used for these 15 minutes of freestyle. There's a few spots I didn't manage to fill in, that I need help with. I left those open with a ... mark. I also added the small samples they only use for a couple seconds. If there's anything you can help me correct this list with... Tell me! The beats I couldn't think of the name for, often did sound familiar to me. I hope y'all can help me out there.
The full list of beats they used to put together The Game - 300 Bars and running:
02:55 (00:49) Boogie Down Productions - Love's gonna get'cha (material love)
03:16 (01:09) -- ( Jay-Z - The takeover )
04:00 (01:53) Mobb Deep - Shook ones
05:27 (03:20) -- ( Terror Squad - Lean back )
05:40 (03:33) Dr. Dre - Keep their heads ringin'
06:16 (04:09) -- ( Capone -N- Noreaga - T.O.N.Y. )
06:32 (04:24) -- ( Lloyd Banks - I'm so fly )
06:53 (04:45) MC Shan & Marley Marl - The bridge
06:59 (04:52) -- ( Shyne - For the record )
08:26 (06:19) -- ( The Game - Runnin' )
08:51 (06:45) -- ( 50 Cent - Just a lil bit )
09:20 (07:14) -- ( Wu-Tang Clan - Method Man )
09:49 (07:42) Jay-Z - Dead presidents II

12:09 (10:02) -- ( Dead Prez - Psychology )
12:19 (10:12) Kanye West - Diamonds are forever
13:20 (11:14) Jay-Z & Notorious B.I.G - Brooklyn's finest
13:30 (11:24) -- ( Junior M.A.F.I.A. - Get money )
14:01 (11:55) Eazy-E - Real muthaphuckkin' G's
14:41 (12:35) -- ( Juvenile - Nolia clap )
15:42 (13:36) -- ( UNIDENTIFIED )
15:20 (13:14) Jay-Z - Blueprint 2
The timers I added here: the first timer shows you when the beat starts in the mp3 that's available on DubCNN.com, the second timer goes with the mixtape version (Youknowwhatitis volume 3).
-
Jay-z "Blueprint 2"
(Jay-Z "Takeover")
that's the first beat he uses
-
Westcoastrydaz.com posted the following:
Game rides over beats such as Love's Gonna Get Cha (Material Love) by Boogie Down Productions, The Takeover by Jay-Z, Shook One's by Mobb Deep, Keep Ya Heads Ringin' by Dr. Dre, The Bridge by MC Shan & DJ Marley Marl, Diamonds Are Forever by Kanye West and Real Muthaphuckin G's by Eazy E.
;)
-
Allright... So that means "Boogie Down Productions - Love's gonna get'cha [material love]" is the very first beat, they half way mixed with "The Takeover", and "Jay-Z - Blueprint 2" is the final beat they're using.
I never realised QB Finest simply copied the beat by MC Shan & Marley Marl for 100% for their "Bridge 2001" song. I guess we'll give the credits to Shan & Marley Marl then.
-
the kanye/diamonds are forever one is the most obvious since he's talking about kayne at the time.. lol..
-
what beat is playing between 0:01 to 0:27 of the song?
and then it comes in again at 1:23
-
props

I added the timers on the list of beats, to show where the beats are starting. The first timer starts along with the start of the mp3 that's available on the dubcnn mainpage, and I let the secondary timer start at 0:00, right after the intro, it starts when Game screams G-G-G U NOT!
So... The beat that starts at 0:01 is an oldy by Boogie Down Productions: Love's gonna get'cha, and at 1:23 they're playing Mobb Deep's Shook Ones
There's still TWO more beats that remain unidentified... Does anyone know what they are?
-
10:36 is "Jay-Z -Dear Summer" off the new Bleek album

Props for that, I haven't heard ANYTHING off that album yet that's why I didn't recognise it. But damn, the list of Jay-Z beats they used for 300 bars is endless...
Just one more beat to go, people! ;D
-
that 8:06 beat was like the tightest beat in the song
-
That first beat is also from Bone Thugs - Handle the Vibe, well with the exception of a new snare on the bone thugs version.
-
props
-
This might not be a beat but I'd like to know.. Which song is O-town song like (if this is a song) or which artist is this who sings some O-Town type of style about a girl having a dick? ;D

I'm guessing BTNH sampled the Boogie Down song, since that song came out in 1990 and I don't think BTNH had any songs back then ;)
Funny thing: people have been SAYING props twice here, but all that's happened is that my karma got lowered by 3, lol ;D

i honestly dont understand this shit non of those beats satrt at those timers or am i seein this shit wrong?

You must have a different version, that's either longer or shorter.
-
I reckon Game sounds best over 'Keep Their Heads Ringin'...
which beats do y'all prefer him over in this?
-
Def keep their heads ringin. Maybe because it's my favorite beat out of all of em I dunno
He came dope on Blueprint 2 also
-
Game is good in adjusting his flow to a beat. So as a consequence, you'd always think he came best over this and that when you actually like the beat most cause I think he's fittin every beat. Most beats are crazy. Shook ones, all those JayZ and Kanye beats and Mf Gz, Dre beat - gotta love em all. Only one I dont dig is "MC Shan & Marley Marl - The Bridge"
-

Yeah, I'll edit that later on... Seems like no one cares about the 2nd timer, and it's the 1st timer that goes with the original radio rip. I'll replace the 2nd timer bit by the timer as it is on the mixtape version.

Yeah, this is what i find real good bout 300 bars, its crazy how he just adjusts in a second or two
Props on the list btw ;D

Props, but Dear Summer should be where UNIDENTIFIED is
and I'm confused about the Dead Prez song, that's just the start of Diamonds Remix???
-
What is the very last beat he rides on?
-

Props for noticing ;D
The Dead Prez song... That's them bells, it's from the intro of "Psychology" off "Lets get free". They put that on the track to kick off with Diamonds Are Forever... I'm not sure about the "Diamonds" remix tho, does it start the same way? In that case they sampled the Dead Prez song or something.
Anyways, I'll edit that second timer now. Shit causes confusion :P
-
props for the beats, shook ones sounds hot, many thanks.
-
Added:
14:41 (12:35) -- ( Juvenile - Nolia clap )
I just came to realise they put small sample of that in the beat of Real Muthaphuckkin G'z... Still trying to complete the list :P
-
11:24 is Junior mafia - Get Money

The Notorious B.I.G. - "Who Shot Ya?" before "In Da Club", "Dear Summer"...

You're right, that ain't the LL version, it's the Biggie version. Another prop coming your way, congrats on having a positive karma now 8)
-
Props. You definately got it right.
