If it wasn't for their 12-2 start they would be Devil-Ray or Royal bad. Those moves that Paul DePodesta really seem to be paying off.

Beltre whoever is playing at 3b is batting better than Beltre
Finley who is being outproduced by JD Drew
Lima who is being outpitched by any of the regular starters
Cora who is being outproduced by Kent
Green who is being outproduced by the platoon at 1B
Mota who is being outpitched by Mota
Lo Duca who's having similiar numbers to Phillips
Unless Depodesta could see the future, no way he could have seen these injuries...

You can't argue the fact this team is bad, & that I have to say I'm sorry for thinking the Dodgers 12-2 start was the real Dodgers. They're going to finish 3rd in the West only because the Ginats & Rockies are even worse.

Baseball seasons are long, midseason trades can change everything. ANd being in a weak NL west division anythign can happen. YEah they suck right now but what im saying is theyw ould have been worse than the Rockies and Giants with the 2004 team and with a higher payroll

Losing 1-0 is counted as getting "messed up"? I'd hate to think what it would be considered if they lost 2-0.

Yeah like those mid season trades really improved the Dodgers last year? They went from dominating that division to being in a fight with SF, the cathers they got hit worse than the pitchers, the 1b they got last year wasn't very good & Green & Ventura still ended up playing 1b more often than not. Given what Depodesta did last season in regards to trades, I wouldn't put much faith in that. They'll probably be sellers rather than buyers.

He obvisously wasn't that great of help if the Dodgers where a better team in the 1st half of last season before Finley got there. The Dodgers were donminating that division last year before all those moves were made, then after the moves they were in a dog fight for the division with SF & the Padres.

Thats because the Giants made a run at the end....and FINLEY was the one who hit the walk off GRAND SLAM vs. the Giants that clinched the Division...Finely might suck this year but he definately helped the Dodgers last year..........Im a giants fan and i know we suck this year its almost pathetic.....we lost Barry and all the old vets got hurt so we just went down hill from there....Benetiz on the DL all year....same with Bonds....then Scmidt been strugglin and Grissom on the DL back to back times ....ALfonzo at 3rd base is on the DL and i can keep goin..........we lost 16-0 to the A's today it was the worst game ive ever seen man.......24 hits....almost a run in every inning till they let up so we wouldnt get demolished worse..............I HATE THE DODGERS by the way but they are still in the hunt....all they have to do is keep producing runs.....once u get ya main team out there shit can change like winning 9 of 10 or 13 of 16 or whatever it could be.........i also heard we might trade Jason Schmidt or Ray Durham for some outfield or a 2nd or 3rd baseman.....if they trade schmidty man they gotta be st upid

Just being up 3 games or less isnt dominating. Finley would have ended up either a Padre or Giant if the Dodgers didnt acquire him. The month of July for the Dodgers had an unhittable Dreiffort,Mota, and Gagne working. They all got hot that month...kinda like the Padres in May of this year. So even after that amazing month...they were still barely in the lead. The addition of Finley, and the fact that either the Padres or Giants got Finley was key.

Kent is day to day officailly last time I checked. Hopefully he's back by the weekend.
I've got Kent and Drew on my fantasy team so I always want the Dodgers to do well. I'm pissed that Drew got injured but I got Vlad, Manny and Ortiz so I shouldn't miss him too much.
