Title: Any truth to this...
Post by: Mr. Nice Guy on June 27, 2005, 08:59:35 PM
I found this over at GUnitworld.com....

Lawyers have finished the documents and the finishing touches of The Game has nothing to do with G-Unit Records at all. The Game has no rights to release any songs from the album without the permission of G-Unit Records. This also means, The Game will not have another video after "Dreams" from his debut album "The Documentary" unless permission is granted by the G-Unit label. Aftermath and Interscope may wish to buy the remaining copyrights of the album from G-Unit Records but from the looks of it, 50 Cent will likely not wish to sell this portion of copyright. "The Documentary" will still be for sale in stores but there will not be anymore advertisement for this product. It is estimated G-Unit Records have grossed over 15 million dollars since the release of "The Documentary".

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obviously he's out of G-Unit, but do you think the rest of this is true?

How does selling 2 million records turn into 15 mill profits for 50? The copyright thing might be true.

They're not gonna allow game to release another single? Am I the only one who saw that coming from a mile away?

What I don't get is, how is it that g-unit has more control over this situation that aftermath AND interscope

They dont, IF this is true then it'll be sometrhing along the lines of 50 reporting to the G-Unit labels lawers that he sees any future release of a Game Single under their label as detremental to the trademark, they will have taken the plea to Interscope to block any further releases and they will review it and give it a yes or no...like i said though, IF this is true.

I dont think Interscope lawers would agree anyway just because 50 and Game dont like each other. I sure if Jimmy Iovine knew he would get loads of sale by releasing another single he would, no matter what 50 says.

Whens Jimmy Iovine gonna get the balls to put 50 in his place, that jada/fat joe diss had him claiming he runs interscope...
50 got the same mental issues 'pac had. but atleast pac could keep his shit entertaining, 50's just making the same damn statements.  the more catz he keeps signing, the weaker g-units gonna get.  all he needs is a white boy and a mid-west rapper and he'll have nowhere to go.

Man up Jimmy, Man-up....   Props to game being able to turn his dropping from G.U into a positive.  Whether you like it not, G-Unit were killin' it when they were the 5 heartbeats, now with 300 bars and 50 keeping quiet in canada, he's created a groundswell that looks like turning them to the next murder inc.  Yayo's and olivias sales will be the true test of whether they are a powerhouse facing a little bump in the road, or whether this is the start of a dreath-row fall.

crazy nigga. but the kat that said 50 got a control problem is right. 50 thinks he runs the game now. i mean yeah, get rich or die trying was hot and sold big but his new shit wack. he got power and that shit went to his head. as soon as he made it big, boom. got cocky. he needs to realize that he aint the most talented when it comes to shady/aftermath and interscope. lyrics are wack. beats ok. but now mostly just bullshit.
g unit is wack. and i really dont like game either, but if i had to choose between the documentary or any thing out the g unit camp, hands down baby. im bumping the documentary.

Yayo and Olivia will need club hits to get decent sales, i cant see them getting too much  unless there is a miracle.

i dont think its saying all the 15 mil came from games album but also from the massacre and g unit clothing line etc.

These rumors some of you guys post up are fucking ridiculous like this one...Dont believe shit until you actually hear about it all over the place not some bs rumor site.  Interscope runs Aftermath and G-Unit aka Jimmy Iovine is the fuckin boss not 50 Cent.  But to some rap fans all you hear about is 50 Cent and him doing this and him doing that but in reality 50 cent controls g-unit and thats it.  Thats why it aint like Dre is coming out and saying Im gonna ride for 50 or Im gonna ride for Game because he has nothing to do with this shit and Dre can do whatever he wants because G-Unit records is an imprint of Aftermath/Interscope.

Interscope is not dropping Game and they are getting ready to promote the next single off of the documentary after "Dreams" called "Put You On The Game" prod. by Timbaland.  Stop IM'ing me and shit about whats gonna happen to game because all of this is straight BS...if Game is still profitable then he won't get dropped period

I was at the Interscope Records offices the other day talking with some of the Rap Promotion ppl there and everybody is still pushing Game and they will be promoting Put You On The Game for radio play within the next few weeks
