Title: Balance And Options: Opinions on who dre will side with
Post by: SpawntaneusC on July 03, 2005, 11:52:13 AM
Well I see it as this Dre's motto is get money he can really give a fuck about movements. if he sides with Game there are really no upsides except the west riding with him (like we are now) Game's next album selling about 2-3 millon considering he gets some good writers for hooks and artist on BWS sign to BWS AFTERMATH Interscope and selling only about 300 - 500 thousand the downside Eminem and 50 cent leave taking all their artist with them and exclusively sign to interscope or universal

Now chosing to keep 50 upsides Another 50 album selling at least 7 mil (in recent decline after overexposure from games, movies and clothing)making money off the success of G-units artist that get beats this time around, Young Buck(from the security work) Mobb Deep (guaranteed to sell at least 2mil why wouldnt dre drop a beat and collect off the publishing) M.O.P. (the streets of ney your want that)Downsides though Losing the west coast support for awhile until Bishop Lamont Drops.(aint like he didnt lose our support before and get it back

My Choice is stay with 50 it business never personal

Well this didnt need another topic and it could have been put into your first topic.

Anyway, Dre doesnt make money off G Unit so he will not have to make the deciision because of that. Sure he might make money of beats but everyone wants his beats someone willalways pay him so being aligned with GUnit wont make much difference.

why doesn't he make money off of G-Unit?  Isn't it all under Aftermath?  I though he gets paid off all shady and G-unit records

He gets royalties if they use his beats and if the album goes platinum he gets even more money(for those that dont know the business)he dosent have to sell the beat he could in turn lease it and collect royalties off the publishing from the sales

G-Unit is signed directly to Interscope thats how he doesnt get any money.

But i think that 50 will leave Aftermath/Shady after their deal is done, wasn't the deal that 50 releases 2 more albums and then his deal is off, and if things go like their are goin' now, maybe 50 will get mad and leave The Math...

he canīt just leave coz Dre and Em would prolly force him to buy out his contract if he wanted to leave and that would cost him so many millions that i donīt 50 would even bother to try it.

everyone talks about how dre needs the money off of 50 cents...but they have never talked to about how 50 will fare without dre. in da club launch his career, discon inferno actually sold more singles that candy shop....a lot of 50's fame came through dre....50 cant survive off of scott storch beats because storch will run out of material with those indian flutes.....same can be said for game....difference is game is not threatening to leave the label

Dre has to be on Game side(loyal wise). You're right about 50 make more money than Game but I don't think Dre has to be worry about money. Don't even understand him why he go on producin for these wack artists he could work with the Westcoast or with people he really wants work with. C'mon Dre doesn't need money anymore. How much is he worth ? ( between 200-300 Millions $ ?)

In comparison 50 is better than game statistically

i dont think dre does it for the money any more
it sounds kinda naieve...but man look how much money he made off eminem alone
fuck it dre woulda stayed fealthy rich off dre 2001 alone..... not to mention up in smoke tour.. the dvd alone went 4x platinum
thats like 20 million of the cd and the dvd
so losing 50 wont hurt dre financially at all
actually for some reason i have a feeling dre will leave interscope soon

maybe but why Dre DOESN'T work with WC artists (outside Game). Damn I'm still a Dre fan but he needs to work with artists he has chemistry with. He did that with  Busta but that shit isn't out yet n I'm not optimistic about that.

The question really is, who will Jimmy side with? Once 50's contract is up, I doubt Dre would try to sign him, and Em probably has had enough as well. That is why they are keeping their voices out of this. But if you think, 50 has burned so many bridges over the past 4 years that it will be hard for him to get a distribution deal. He'll definately get one, but he won't have the promotion that he had before. And Game will probably get the boot in a couple of years too. Em and Mel are the only two people that Dre has kept around for more than 5 years.

one thingīs for sure and that it is that Jimmy would never side with 50 over Dre coz for the last 13 years Dre has made Interscope hundreds of millions of dollars and he will prolly bring them 200-300 million dollars more before he retires and i donīt think 50 and G-Unit will bring that in or have the lasting power of Dr.Dre.

for those who wanna question whether or not Dre has brought them hundreds of millions check this out
Dr.Dre - The Chronic over 6.5 million records sold WW
Snoop - Doggystyle over 5 million records sold WW
Eminem - MMLP over 10 million records sold WW
Eminem - TES over 10 million sold WW
Dr.Dre - 2001 over 6 million sold WW
+Dogg Food,ABT,Murder Was The Case,Encore,GRODT etc etc

and you can also question whether or not Dre was responsible for all of DR`s success but without Dre they would never have gotten their deal with Interscope.

Is WW means WorldWide ? coz MMLP OVER 15 million , TES 19 million ect...

I heard Dre say in a interview a few years ago that he's still living off his money earned with N.W.A.

But if i was Dre, i would choose to focus only on the west coast......thats where he started, got big, made some sidesteps to more eastcoast orientated artists....so now its time to get back, and create a new NWA with all artists from Compton, Inglewood, LBC etc
