I've been on this forum for only a couples of weeks, and I already saw some Kokane haters. I'm from Canada (Quebec), and I was wondering why, you people (who live on the west coast) do not like Kokane as much as us here in my city. Shit you got the most original artist in the game next door and you all hatting on him.
Tell me why, or please if there some Kokane lovers in this forum please holla at me coz i'm tripping out.
PS: Fuck any Kokane/G-Unit association
-

Kokane original?? hahaha. I despise Kokane, he's ruined many songs with his bullshit. One song being "I Luv It".....who can forget it....zoom zoooomzooomzooooomzoomzoooomzoooomzooomzooooom

This just isn't true. I'm also from Quebec and I can safely say that there are very few people who like, let alone know about Kokane over here. Quebec doesn't have much of a westcoast following.
I like a lot of Kokane's work but nothing beats the stuff he was putting out with Ruthless Records. Now, I just mostly find him irritating.
-
Hey Elmizoomzoomzy, don't you like the funk ??????????? Kokane made so many ordinary song turn into classiks. One song being "I Luv It".........all I can remenber is those.......zoomzoomzoomzoomzooooooooooooooooooooom..........Eastsidaz come back (please).

i like his rapping, but his singing is to 90% annoying TO ME
maybe my ear is build other then your ears... but to me it sounds mostly (there definately are some dope exceptions!) like a dog, whom someone's stepping on his nuts :-\

Ruthless Kokane is dope, from what I've heard of him.
Afterwards,he's very hit or miss to me. He's great on 'Back It Up', 'Y'all Gonna Miss Me' or 'Dogghouse Soulfood' but he most definately sounds awful on 'Stacey Adams' or 'Rimz & Tyres'.
Alltogether, hit or miss.
-
Big fan of Kokane.
-
im a huge kokane fan, to the point where i cant think off a bad koke verse off the top of my head
btw, Rims and Tires hook was dooope
-
kokane also a hell of a drug
-
I liked his funk upon a rhyme but thats about it. Hes great for doing hook but an average rapper.

Kokane is my favourite artist, hands down.
I LOVE the way he always comes so original with it, 97% of other rappers bore me after a little while. Koka always manages to stay true to himself and make that fly funky shit.
I can see why some dudes hate on him though, his style aint for everyone.
Hey Sim check ya PM...

I gotta respect his own style and I liked "Funk upon a rhyme" and "They call me Mr. Kane" even more... but his singing can get really annoying at times to me too. I like his music, but his not one of my faves...
Has anyone heard his new album, is it worth buying? Haven't had a chance to hear it...

Holy moly, how can you like They Call Me Mr. Kane better than Funk Upon a Rhyme? Anyway, yeah the newest record is definately worth getting. It has some old pre-released tracks on it, but also alot of left-overs from the never-released "It's Kokane Not Lemon-Head" record. Great CD

I don't know, it's damn hard to compare those two - both are great albums.. '99 I listened to Mr.Kane a lot and nowadays I rather spin that aswell, I gotta respect an album that doesn't make me wanna skip a single cut. Maybe I like the beats more on Funk...
Thanks for the info, gotta get a copy of that new one!
