Title: 2Pac Album Set For September Release?
Post by: =[Euthanasia]= on July 01, 2002, 03:13:00 AM
(Source: Hitemup.com)
"Various sources are reporting that the new 2Pac album, which was supposed to come out last year, has now got a release date of September this year, the six year anniversary of Pac's passing. This has been reported by Makaveli.com, a Pac fan site, who were apparently contacted by someone informing them of this release date. A host on BET has also said the same thing.

The album is reported to be a double album, and is said to be the last Pac album from Tha Row. I find this very hard to believe. There is no doubt in my mind that we will get at least one more Pac album after this, in September 2003. This would spark further alive theories and sell a lot just off the theories instead, I just don't think Suge and Afeni would pass up such an easy pay day.

Whether this release date will prove to be true or not remains to be seen. It could be true, or it could just be one of the many false rumors that always surround new albums from 2Pac."

This is some good news, if it's true  :-/. Lets just hope they stick to this now!

I hope Afeni releases her versions of all the songs that are on the Dillinger & Makaveli EP on this album because I read that she's gonna let Daz release the EP with the songs in the original format once she's released whatever versions she wants to.

Here's what I was talking about:

Here's a little update for the Makaveli & Dillinger EP release:

Afeni's lawyers and Daz Dillinger have settled their dispute over the DPG Recordz Makaveli & Dillinger EP. The EP was originally supposed to be released last year but The Estate's lawyers put a quick stop to it. DPG Recordz has now sold the 2Pac verses it intended to use to Amaru Entertainment, for use on 2Pac's upcoming album. As part of the aggreament, DPG Recordz has been allowed to release the Makaveli & Dillinger EP after 2Pac's album has been released. (hitemup.com)

Afeni wants to release every single song Pac recorded. The reason they are making so many double albums is cuz they will be released faster that way. However, im actually looking forward to the Makaveli/Dillinger album [which is a single cd with like 16 songs] more than the double album. I heard its supposed to be released following the September double cd.

true. only tha outlawz, kc/jojo, treach and a few former(!) death row artists like danny boy, jewell, snoop, DPG  should be on the discs. production by johnny j, QD III, dj quik, daz, hurt-m-badd, devante. that would be a real pac album.
