Title: What beats could Snoop have come a lot harder on?
Post by: R-Tistic on July 17, 2005, 01:29:01 AM: We all know that Snoop came in the game with an unbelievable flow and delivery, and basically defined what the west coast flow was back in the early 90s. But it seems like since Doggystyle and Doggfater, he has been inconsistent in some ways. Even though many of us like most of his material since then, we all agree that he comes great on some tracks, comes coo on some, and that he just talks on some and doesn't really do shit impressive.

So what beats and songs do you wish he coulda came a whole lot harder on, as far as his flow and delivery goes?

I'd say....
-Drop it like it's hot (remix)

I know I can list a grip but that's all I can think of off hand

Man........................I thought I was the only one who felt like that. When I first heard him say that dumb shit in the beginning, I got happy as fuck, like ohhhh shit he bout to murder this shit on some 93 type of shit!!! And the beat was soundin like somethin he woulda killed back then. But that shit was nothin but a tease, and his verse was below average, I think Daz came a lot harder. That shit had me pissed tho!

Hell yeah man, it was kinda tite what he did do to it, but I still wish he coulda MURDERED that shit. His verses on Drop it like it's hot pt 1 were real whatever, but the hook was so hot, and the beat was so hot, nobody really cared. But I feel he coulda made that song a lot better than it already was. He did flow tite as fuck for a second "see i specialize in makin all the girls get naked" and even how he started was kinda hot cause it was simple n catchy as fuck..."only on the left side, yeah thats the crip side" but otherwise, he was just talkin on it.

I swear, Snoop doesn't even need Dre to instruct him how to flow, he could take five of us from Dubcc and we'd help him make classic shit cause we know when he sounds best

i don´think Snoop listens to anyone except for Dre or he´s just surrounded by yes-men that doesn´t tell him that a lot of his shit sucks.

yep this is a obvious comment. We all heard that if a mc spit a weak verse or if Dre doesn't like it he has to remake it 8)

I agree. After Xzibit tore through his verse, Snoop's 2 verses were complete letdowns. It's still a great song but it could have been better if Snoop was motivated.

I agree with what someone said about "Ballin'", that Battlecat beat was amazing and again Snoop sounds lazy.

Also, the G's is G's remix, Snoop just sounds like he's mumbling his verses, which sounds so different from the energetic delivery of Kurupt, Tash and Xzibit.
