So my friend just got his first apartment and he's trying to grow weed. It's already planted and he has pretty much everything he needs except we don't know the chemicals to turn the stuff in to super sticky weed. Has anyone else tried growing and what have yall done?

Yeah man I buy clones. cuts down on grow time significantly and you are always assured female plants unlike using seeds. I keep a big hps light on the plants for an 18 hour shift then completely cut off all light to it. In essence you create a lunar cycle for the plant to grow by that is easier for you to maintain. Give the plant some nutrients everyday, wait six weeks, then you should be rollin in several ounces of some bomb. 8)

ive only grown bangin regs, outdoors, and it was pretty corny i will never waste my time again. but i take it your growin some dro inside so thats nice. a clone is like a graft of another plant so when people have good plants they will save some and then regrow em and shit.

Clones are the branches that are cut from a mother plant, then regrown. HPS stands for high pressure sodium, you can find some lights starting at around $200, expensive but well worth it.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm not sure how serious my friend is about growing, but I figure more knowledge wouldn't hurt.
I was reading a couple things about growing weed and it was saying to keep the acid levels to a minimum because it kills the female plants. What does the HPS do for the weed? Is it like plant food? And as far as lights go, does it really matter a whole lot? Besides the wattage, are there any other factors I should look for?

High pressure sodium lights are the way too go. And Hydroponics is overrated because you can get the same thing with a soil

I would just like to point out that it costs the police about $6000.00 to dis-assemble a grow-op. So as long as you don't have $6000.00 worth of stuff, they'll leave you alone. :D

yeah my last reggies sprouted after like 3 days, because i germinated em for a day. but if u just planted seeds and u dont know the sex, the males usually sprout first, and they should be kept far away from the bitches. cause if they pollenate the bitches, then the weed is no good.

buy weed, ususaly you can get a seed or 2. you can get more in bigger sizes. i bought a half and i got about 50 seeds. im getting a qp ill probably get 1000 seeds

yeah but if u want dro seeds they are really hard to get. only the male drop plants produce seeds, and no one really sells them, most are destroyed, so if u want good weed, your gonna have to ask where to get dro seeds, or order em off line.

Fuck that mid grade bullshit. That shit gives me a headache instead of getting me high. I just harvested a White Widow plant but it wasn't grown with HPS so it didnt yield as much as I liked but it is still bomb shit.

well they could be fast growing females too, so you have to wait till they start to develop pistils and stigmas (i think) before u can tell if its a guy or girl plant, and then once you know what they are, do whatever with the males, the weed is still smokeable, but put them somewhere, and give each bitch plant 1-3 sq feet of room, but you gotta wait till they start to grow the pistils and what not before u can transfer em
