-
Bob Marley - One love, Buffalo Soldier, Redemption Song,Smoke Two Joints,No Woman No cry..
those are all great songs for that
I would type more artists but I gotta go
-
Besides the usual Bob Marley tracks, I recommend you Max Romeo's 'Chase the Devil' or songs by Gentleman, a german reggae singer, who lives sometimes in Jamaica and sings in patois.
-
Lucky Dube! I promise you, download something from Lucky Dube, you won't be dissapointed! He's sort of a revolutionary icon to South African's, he was exiled from the country, and much of his songs are about struggle in Africa.
Download these tracks for starters....
"House of Exile"
"Slave"
"Steal Bars"
"Prisoner"
"I Want To Know What Love Is"
....those are standout cuts off of his album "Serious Reggae Business".... I'm tellin you, Lucky Dube is the best, no doubt!
-
Props for the songs inifinite I Downloaded Prisoner and slave and they sound dope

lol.
everything is dancehall (ragga, ragga is another term for dancehall, for the style) buju, bounty, redrat, etc. its all dancehall.
-
Why'd you bump this thread for something like that.
-
^because its stupid to name buju, bounty, etc. under "reggae" and say "BUT culcha candela" is dancehall.
its all REGGAE music.but its has ROOTS and DANCEHALL styles and all the people like buju, ele, bounty they are REGGAE musicians but they have DANCEHALL style.
