Title: Imagine how dope "It's nuthin" would be..
Post by: Jome on July 20, 2005, 01:28:03 PM
..with proper BASS.
Even if you play this joint with a sub, it sounds like some crappy PC speakers because the bass sucks ass.
Storch without Dre <<<<<< Storch with Dre

Ugh...

Anything to give Dre props. Hop off his dick man.

"Lean Back" > 04/05 Dre.

Scott Storch is a credible producer with good, sometimes repetitive ideas. But all his beats sound like Dre outakes, save for a few extremely dope ones. I appreciate dude much more when he co-produces with Dre or just plays keys on Dre beats. Dre knows how to utilize Scott Storch better than Scott Storch knows how to utilize Scott Storch.  ;)

^^ Exactly.

No, it just becomes very obvious when Storch is on his own, that it is Dre who supplies the bass whenever they work together, and probably everything else, Storch is a genius on the keys, and he got a couple of catchy melodies, but I haven't heard 1 solo Storch beat that fucks with the Dre/Storch collabos..

Of course you don't. Anything Dre related is Godly in your book.

We all know the Dre-hate runs deep in your blood, hence the awful ranking of Xzibit-albums..
Let it go.. if you don't like him, don't discuss him, it's "It's nuthin" which is the main subject here anyways.
You think the bass is good ? Stick to the subject for once.

You must've never heard the song performed live, it thumps. You're a Dre Dickrider, so you'll find anyway to spin something into giving Dre props.

Sly Boogy, "It's nuthin", produced by Scott Storch.
It's not new, but since it's on the new Boogy-tape, I thought I'd bring it up again.

No, Sly hasn't visited Norway yet, that's correct.
It doesn't bang in my car stereo, PC-speakers with subwoofer, or my stereo, so it's rather strange that it bangs live..

Maybe he called Dre to fix the bass on the newer versions.  :psych:

Then you must not have good speakers. It bangs live/in clubs. Save your Dre dickriding for something else, you can't take anything away from this track.

I believe you didn't read my last post, I said subwoofer, and all the speakers are top notch.
If you think the bass is good, then fine, good for you.

Dre's got his flaws, without a doubt. You can make dope beats most of the time, but you can't make dope beats all of the time. Storch ain't fucking with him, imo.

Look at "Poppin' Them Thangs" and "Time's Up"...Poppin Them Thangs had a much cleaner flow in the layering of the keys, the drums were more crisp, and the bass was thumping. Again, that's my opinion. Dre makes Storch just sound better on the producing tip, much like he makes various artists somehow sound better on the mic.

Lies.
Either you lie all the time to make yourself look cool, or you're lying now trying to save face.
Which one is it ?

You're like a woman: Says the exact opposite of what they really mean all the time.
Try expressing some real opinions for one times sake, instead of trying to look like a laidback hater who hates everything and when confronted suddenly is "non-biased" and likes everything..  ::)

Why would I lie? I don't hate Dre. I hate his Legions of Dickriders, like yourself. Grow some balls of your own.

LMAO, you're a joke.
You're spreading hate and bullshit about artist that you like, IN FEAR of being looked upon as a dickrider, damn that is sad, I actually feel sorry for you now, cot damn.  :'(
You're afraid that the rest of the Baby G/SGV-army will jump on you and call you a dickrider if you talk positive about someone in more than one thread ??

The track "The Streets" Storch did for WC was just INCREDIBLE, I actuelly though Dre did that for a long time. But the club tracks he does are wack, and like u say Dre brings the best out in him. But that is just like he did with Daz on the Dogg Food album 8)

Dont get me wrong, Storch is great but I was dissapointet when I heard them sucky club tracks that even gets played over here... :-\

I.E. This song is dope and there's nothing you can say that will change that. I believe that is a positive remark. You're an idiot.

The song sounds aite to me, i mean maybe a better bass line woulda been titer, but the mastering is pretty damn good.  Maybe you don't have a good rip of the mixtape Jome?

The song hits pretty hard in my car,its one of my favs to listen to on a sunny day. And my car is a convertible so its even quieter than it was in my old car so its doing pretty well.

For reference:
-Alpine 9813 head unit
-MTX Blue Thunder amp
-Focal 11" subwoofer in a very large and cumbersome custom box,lol

It really depends on what your sub/amp are setup for. There are quite a few tracks that I listen to in my current car that sound like shit compared to how they were in my old one. I've come to accept that not every song is going to pound unless I do some major changes to my box and amp/sub setup.

Storch's best beats are "The Way I Am" and "The Streets" def, and "It's Nuthin" was a dope track too, but yeah you notice it if it's Storch without Dre...

Ugh...

"Lean Back" > 04/05 Dre.

I don't really understand why Lean Back was such a hit. All the raps sucked and the beat was mediocre at best.

But though Storch doesn't necessarily need anyone's help (The Streets is crazy as hell), it's true that It's Nuthin' does need some proper bass...
Title: Re: Imagine how dope "It's nuthin" would be..
Post by: W-Side on July 21, 2005, 05:08:34 AM
the lean back beat was heat, Fat joe's horrible vocals didn't help though

As for It's Nuthin, the bass on one of them versions was better than the other (a homie sent me a version from a single before, and I got the version from one of the new mixtape rips)

don't remember which one was the better one, I think the new one but I ain't sure and I can't check since I'm not at home.
