Flip Saunders was always one of the top coaches in the league...What happened in Minnesota last year was a catashtrophe waiting to happen, but that doesn't change the fact that he's always been bringing out the better in his players...I honestly think Detroit is on a decline, but at least they can remain one of the top teams in the east with a real coach like Flip on the sidelines...Now, New York, that's one team that is going to surprise everyone...If Larry Brown signs with New York (as it seems like he most likely will), New York will be a team to watch for...I'm not just saying next year, but they are definitely a team of the future...I think if Brown can get the Knicks to play as a team, like he did with Detroit, they have potential to be even better than Detroit was in their championship season...Detroit looks like they'll remain pretty much the same, but Isaiah and New York still have a lot more trades and goals in mind, which leads me to believe they will only get better and better...What do ya'll think about the 2 coaches, their big moves, and the impact it'll have on their team?

Damn, I heard Flip was going to go back to coaching college basketball (for Minnesota). I wish he would. Dan Monson sucks nuts.
-
That would be stupid of him when he could coach a team like Detroit...
-
Maybe but my dad works for Fox Sports Net and he was actually talking to him, and Flip told him that he wants to get away from all of the egos and get back to the basics. I figured it wasn't going to happen now because Dan Monson had a huge buyout price put on his contract so he was pretty much gauranteed a job even if he sucked it up and he is. I'm sure Flip coaching the Gophers will happen sooner or later though.

Can somebody explain to me why in the bloody hell Brown leaves Detroit to coach New York?
I thought he only thought of leaving the Pistons because health and family issues. But now, since he's STILL coaching, what the hell is he even thinking?
I think they even bought him out of the contract and shit, all this just for him to coach other teams?? It just doesn't make the slightest bit of sense to me. It really doesn't.

Detroit didn't want him. He wasn't getting along with the management...Coaching the Knicks was his dream job. Get it?

Well both are dumb then lol.. Brown led Detroit to the Finals twice in a row and he and the players knew each other well and got along. Well and the Knicks aren't what you consider a dream team. New York bound or not.

New York is coming up big...Detroit's management kept talking shit about Brown and said they wanted a coach who could stay healthy, which they didn't believe Brown could do...Brown said he wanted to stay in Detroit, but shit didn't go down that way...Detroit might be stupid, but it makes perfect sense...PeACe

-
1)The pistons will return to the Finals next season
2)The knicks will have a press conference anouncing the highring of Larry Brown
3)Marbury is out of new york..he will be traded :-\
4)Larry Brown will not leave NY annytime soon...5 year 60 mill$ contract DAAAAAAAAMMNN!!!!
-
Was that meant to be exclusive news or a bold statement?
Its all over ESPN that the Knicks are having a press conference 2morrow...
Marbury will not be traded, thats Isiah's prize move. Marbury will have to compromise his game a bit to fit in with LB... besides Isiah not wanting to lose his star PG, there arent many takers for his long/big contract.
LB will not do the full 5 years...
-
Fuckin richboy buyin out of his contract twice in a row? I HATE when they do that. FUCK Alanzo Mourning.

Hopefully he'll do the 5 years and the Knicks become a force in the east once again...
