sooo, just came back...well amazing show, full of guest performances....first off they opened the doors @ 1230 instead of 1145 that was scheduled, and that cut med, percee p and Oh no's (wildchild was there too) performance short, they rocked it, percee p is amazing, cop his album, next up were the visionaries, who were amazing and had the few people there rockin and jumpin off their feet, played all their classics, after the visionaries was Supernatural, who was amazing! did his normal routine, and blew the crowd away like always, after supernat was Non phixion, who i did not really know, so i wasnt really diggin, but they had a moshpit near the back cuz people were getting that rhoudy, after non phixion was the DMC spain champion, i didnt stick around to see that but came back when Guru hit the stage and he rocked it, playing gangstarr cuts, some cuts off Jazzmatazz, and new stuff as well.....
After guru we all went behind the bboy battle stage and took a nap for an hour in the grass , missing out Qbert and Sage Francis, not like we cared but eh.....
We then headed out to see Hiero, And they were amazing, it was my first time seeing them and they played stuff off full circle, 3rd eye vision and everyone had a solo cut to themselves, it was awesom, del ripped "If You Must" and Souls of mischief rocked on "93 til infinity"...amazing
After Hiero was Living legends, they were ALL THERE! EVEN MURS!! Yup, all the legends there, finally...and they rocked as well, played what they usually play at shows, no suprises, but good jams
After the legends Redman took an hour to get on stage, and when he did he had a live band with him, this time around redman wasnt that exciting, i dunno what was it, but his dj has skills (dj dice), played all his classics and ended with "Da Rockwilda"
Now for the surprises:
after redman, TALIB KWELI HIT THE STAGE! outta nowhere, just rockin "Get em high" it was funny , no one knew who he was but me, and i was like "ITS KWELI" and they were like "What, you serious"....ha, played move something, and redefinition and ended with get by, amazingly short set, but worth it
Then NAS Came on
Nas played his tracks, Aint hard to tell, Got Yourself a Gun, Nas Is Like, etc....Everyone in the crowd was chanting for "ETHER" and he said he didnt do that song anymore, but was like "Fuck it, we in cali" and he said "Dont say that name anymore, we love him now" during the part where it says "Fuck Jay Z" ...after Ether he said he's gonna have another one of those out this year for someone else, he said "Jada Killed him, Fat Joe Was too streets for him" and all that is left is for nas to ether him"....oh yea, he PLAYED FIRM TRACKS! that was awesome stopped the show and was like "hold up my phone's ringing" and played "phone tap" which was awesome!!!
AFTER NAS, KRS-ONE JUMPED ON STAGE and Performed, he freestyled and brought out Supernat, Talib Kweli, Mike imani(?) and RBX! they all took turns freestyling and rapping, KRS one leading everyone throughout, then krs one ended with a acapella freestyle session with everyone saying they're last words and bounced, that whole freestyle set was amazing
Raekwon and Ghostface were awesome the part that i was there, they played ice cream, cream, criminology, and RZA the suprise guest came out for "Wu tang clan aint nuthin to fuck with", after this song, my friend passed out and we were escorted by security out and i shook hands with the dude with the ron artest jearsey who was hypin them (whoever went to the show should know) and were led to first aid, and then just came home, missed the end, but the rest was off the hook!
OH yea, Lootpack minus madlib perfromed tracks after non phixion and that lil intermission they had, they rocked it, i bet im missin a whole grip and i have a whole grip of typos, but im tired as fuck, and im going to sleep, Nighty nite!!!

you forgot to mention the impromptu appearance of Immortal Technique, before Redman came on, who only did 3 songs but had more energy and response from the crowd than anybody else before him
shoutout to immortal tech, krs, chali 2na, tash from tha liks, kweli, phil da agony, sly boogy, dirty birdy, og daddy v, mikah 9, mr choc, opio, del, tajai, hiero, sunspot, luckyiam, scarub, sage francis, eligh, grouch, oh no, and everybody else i caught up with at the show mad love!
-
did nas ghost and rae perform verbal intercourse?
the show was prob pretty cool.. but i dont think it held up to their past shows... it didnt seem like this one had a clear headliner...
after holding a wu tang reunion and tribe called quest reunion, i thought they would be able to boost it up another notch.
-
Sounds dope. Would be worth it just to see Raekwon & Ghostface perform together, I hope they tour europe for the Cuban Linx 2 album thats coming out soon.

yea Guerilla Union puts on dope events but their next feat needs to reunite the DITC crew with all the remaining members (Lord Finesse, Fat Joe, Buckwild, Showbiz & AG, Diamond D, O.C.)
or i wanna see Marley Marl and the Symphony with all the guys doin it live...that would be dope too!
-
^^naw, They need to reunite EPMD!!! DITC would be good, EPMD would be better

probably in the desert heat.. san bernardino is fucking crazy. i wouldnt be surprised if they were standing outside for 10 hours in over 100 degree weather.

Holy shit, just back from the one in SF. All I can say is, best show in the past three years. Red and Meth got the illest stagest presence ever. Raekwon and Ghost were hella fucked up but came thru. Dead Prez had everyone there bouncing and they said some political shit to say of course. People were trippin off Qbert doin a crazy set. Andre Nickatina even made an appearance and did some shit with Equipto which came off nice. Jean Grae hosting kept the whole shit alive. She just came out with tight verses to fill time and freestyled over a gang of classic beats. once again: Red, Meth, illest stage presence ever. no other artist can get a crowd hyped like those muthafuckas.

yup, dumbass did not eat when we took our little break and nap, and he hardly drank water, we just saw him swaying left and right then boom to the ground
-
Red was dope but I got to hand it to DJ Kool who is the fuckin god when it comes to hyping up crowds and during Redman's set at least in LA when he did "Let Me Clear My Throat" the whole place went nuts...Kool has the energetic voice that people just feed off of
-
^^I personally wasnt digging it, it was the same act like last year, nothing new, i knew everything that was going to happen, even that whole "fuck you redman" deal too, big letdown, nothing new @ all
-
i sneaked into the orange show like i do at every event ;D i couldnt stand that eastcoast music so i was only there for 5 maybe 10 mins max and went back home which is down the street heh
