Title: 2001's First Week?
Post by: UWA 187 on August 15, 2005, 11:35:22 AM: Any idea how many units Dre's 2001 sold in it's first week? Also, I know it's kinda the wrong forum for it but my main question was West Coast and this does relate to it via Aftermath, does anyone know how many the Slim Shady LP sold first week?

Damn it was leaked 1 month before the release date, didn't know that. Anyway remind me good times about going crazy to have this lp, I was waiting for it next to the record store instead going to school ;D... I want Detox :'( lol

That didn't start happenin at a major scale until 1999, and it was perfect timing because CD recorders came out in 98 and got big in 99. So that's when the bootleg market hit BIG.

Nah man I'd heard of a grip of songs that didn't make the album or whatever but NEVER heard of that one. I remember "the way I be pimpin" "the throne is mine" and a few more.

I have all of the one that I know of that missed the cut for the album, but I'm still on the look out for Malibu Dre. My friend said it sounded kinda like Still D.R.E. with the sticcato(sp?) sound except way better.
