it seems that lately a lot of new shit coming out seems like it is half-assed
I'm not talking about anything in particular, just everything as a whole that's comin out such as new releases and new tracks
it seems like everyone is making music because they have to, rather than doing it and having fun
it just seems like no one is having too good of a time making music these days, majority lately has sound forced and lazy
obviously you can't get some great sounding stuff like the past, but when you listen to the past music, it is so original and it seems like they did masterpieces like nothing, they were having fun and everyone was friends
maybe they feel now that they got nothin to prove, but I think everyone now actually has more to prove
once again, not talking about anything too much in particular, just kinda pissed about some recent sounding shit in the past few years until now
any you feel that way? about anything in particular?

I agree, hip hop is not even an art anymore, mainstream rap is just an excuse for a bunch of black kids to act like shit and demand respect. And on top of that theyre too fucking lazy to take the time and express themselves so they just spit about whatever makes them the most money. fuckin disgrace to black people and music in general.

nah hip hop isnt all about respect now a days, i feel its driven by money and is why so many artists last few years seem half assed... they seem to be goin by what their record label feels rather then the artists true feelings. Thats it really, commercialism = money, money = commercialism...
Thats why i love westcoast music so much because its all about the music opposed to the money!! 8)
