WALLKILL, N.Y. -- The family of a disabled 7-year-old boy wants an apology from a movie theater after the manager threw him out for laughing too loudly.
The parents of Anthony Pratti said it happened Sunday in Wallkill, when they took their son to see "March of the Penquins."
The boy has cerebral palsy and autism. The family said he was enjoying the movie from his wheelchair when a theater worker said he was laughing too loudly, and would have to leave. Gina Pratti said they would try to have their son laugh more quietly, but the manager wanted him to leave.
She said she was dumbfounded when the manager told them the entire family didn't have to go, just the boy in the wheelchair.
The manager refunded everyone's money.
A representative of Loews Cineplex told a Middletown newspaper they are looking into the matter.

what are they bitching about? if i was the manager i wouldn't have refunded the money.
-

but its a boy in a wheelchair give him some sympathy
I would have been annoyed by it.
-
in a way that's the right thing to do, but at the same time it is kind of messed up.
-
shouldnt they have given the family a warning first?
-
the "less-fortunates" are alwayz sayin they don't wanna be treated differently I thought 8)

LMFAO

Me feelings exactly. If I was trying to watch a movie, and someone was being loud and obnoxious, I wouldn't give two shits if he had Down Syndrome AND AIDS, I'd want that motherfucker out of there.

i can't blame the kid...i watched MArch of the Penguins and it had some funny ass scenes....The scene where the baby penguin gets killed by a Pelican and the older Penguins just watch it happen is laugh out loud comedy lol

LMFAO dats some dark humor, but i think its fucked up and sad in a way that they threw them out without a warning
-
man, how are you gonna kick a retarded kid out of a movie theatre for laughing too loud?
he should go back and burn that movie theatre down
-
Tell the stupid parents to wait for the DVD release...fucking handicap people are annoying.
The most annoying thing @ the movie theaters...is the black grandmother talking back to the screen.
-
Giving the family a warning would not have helped because the kid don't know better he's mentally diabled i wouldnt understand either.
-
ye agree wit ya sayin bout retarded people in cinemas.. but this was well harsh.. kid was only 7, cut him some slack he was just having a good time...
-
^^^True.
-
I heard there are theaters made for disabled people.

Damn, some of these replies are harsh. Ever thought of the fact that the kid hasn't asked to be autistic? So y'all are saying that he shouldn't have gone to the theater and just stayed at home? So he might as well lock himself up then...
Of course it's annoying, and it would bother me as well, but damn...put yourself in his shoes. Getting thrown out of a place because of something you can't really control.
"It's a cold, cold world. And you know it..."

^ Agreed.

lolol... Duno how you find these wierd pictures Mr TT

It's the parents fault, for many, many reasons.
1. They're not intelligent enough to understand that their kid isn't normal, and therefore can't do everything a normal kid can, like watch movies in theatres.
2. They subjigated their kid to ridicule by putting him in the situation,
3. They preyed upon the good nature of people by hoping nobody would say anything,
4. They pulled the cripple card out whenever something went different than they wished,
etc.

you know how at the movies they have the turn off cell fones, please be quiet, etc.
i wonder what the screen says at the movies for the mentally ill
"please be quiet......unless you suffer from autism, arachnaphobia, etc."
-
damn... ;D
thats messed up man...
thats like kicking timmy from south park out the theatre...
i dont know man...
its just not the right thing to do i guess...

I can understand the people from the theatre. The parents shouldn't have expected them not to act if someone was being a nuisance and I'm sure the parents knew this,or could have expected this, beforehand.
