Kind of funny considering the fact that I remember rakim talking about rappers that influenced him and his style including melle mel, grandmaster caz, and kool mo doe. Rakim overrated? not top ten? Also fuck melle mel for comparing 2pac to hitler and sayiing 'his fradulent images brought down an entire culture'.

if it wasn't for Melle Mel, you'd be listening to some other form of music. Melle Mel was the greatest rapper pre-Rakim. He might be mad right now no one thinks of him, because they think his Grandmaster Flash. Melle Mel would be the best rapper today if he came out. I just think his mad, and maybe they should have calmed him down. But he has that right to diss Rakim, KRS and 2Pac, they were legends in something he mastered before anyone else. Now if they dissed him, that's like Nelly dissing KRS, and that's real. They know they can't diss him, but he can diss them. His the Babe Ruth of rap, he set the standard. You can't say shit to argue him, because without him, rap would not have the conscience it does now. That's real talk.

Just because he was the 1st great doesn't give him the right 2 dis 3 of the greatest Mcs ever. And do you realize that you compared Nelly 2 Pac, Rakim, And KRS-One. And everyone finds it annoying when old school ahtletes talk shit on the new school athletes, this is pretty much the same thing. And no one has the right 2 compare Pac 2 Hitler.
