Does West Coast Hip-Hop sound better when the weather's good?
I remember reading a VIBE article a few years ago and the writer also said that West Coast Hip-Hop is created "under the sunshine and therefore can be appreciated at its best when listening to it under the sunshine" (or something like that).
I've noticed that when I bump an album like Conversation (The Twinz) on a rainy day, it doesn't leave the same impression on me whereas I would play it on a hot summer day.
Anyone else who feels like this?

I think nearly everyone thinks that man. lol

Must be your mood that changes. Guess that has alot to do with enjoying music

I always say that I can't expect anybody who isn't from LA, or hasn't drove or rode around LA on a sunny day playin west coast music to ever like west coast music as much as we do. To me, it doesn't exactly have to be sunny, and even if it's nighttime, long as the weather is coo or I'm goin to a club then it sounds great.

ive honestly never thought about that once. music is always the same too me regardless of the weather

kinda agree with u Crafty. I usually bump more WC tunes in my car when the weather is good. I don't usually bump Quik when it snows ;D

Yeahh I know what you mean...the best song for me during a sunny california day would have to be "It was A Good Day" - Cube

Lol, same here. When it's winter I tend to play more East Coast Hip-Hop & Soul music. Don't know, I guess it has indeed something to do with my mood. As soon as the sun's out during the winter, I'll bump a West Coast artist. On dark/grimey/rainy days, I usually bump East Coast artists...
