My story isn't that great. But I'll remember the day forever. I was at school, just startin my freshman year and one of my friends started what he thought was a rumor that 2pac "died." And everyone in the school believed it because he was in critical condition. Then later we all got home from school and it had just became official that 2pac died. I went home and listened to "Life Goes On" the rest of the night on repeat.

I was in my old house (i've since moved). I came in from just hanging about outside in the park across the road, and it had just been on the news and my mother told me as I came in. I didn't hit me straight away though, thought it might of been a mistake, 'cos ya know he did *amazingly* survive the first shooting.
R.I.P 'Pac :'(

That's tight that you were really impacted like that right at first..... I mean, looking back, at the time it was hard to realize how sad his death really was because it doesn't set in when he still had video's blowing up on TV, a new album of fresh music on the way, and he was on top of the charts.

I was at Tower Records buying the "Bow Down" single and the cashier told me.

However.. I know where I was when I found out about Eazy E and when Princess Diana died.
Ironically, me too. I have no idea when I even heard about Pac, but when eazy died, I was sitting in class at school. English class, I'm not positive how I found out, but somebody told us all, I remember it clearly. When Biggie died, I was sittin' in my lawyers office, and he was late, so I leaned over and picked up the newspaper, bam there is was on the front page, Christopher Wallace shot. When Princess Di, which hit me the hardest, died, I was just getting home from being out, and had the television on, and they came and interrupted the show, it was late at night I remember, I think about midnight u.s. time, or maybe 1 in the morning, I can't remember, which would place it real early morning in france. (or was it spain?) I never was a big princess di fan or anything, but she was a true, true humanitarian and it affected me to think that she was killed so early. I remember getting goose bumps and a chill when I heard it.

I was in bed when I heard about her death, I think it was about 5 in the morning and I was woken by the radio still on from the night before (I often used to sleep with the radio on in the background) and it came on that she had been in a car accident in France and that they would update when they had more info. I didn't think she would die but then after a while they annouced that she was dead and I went down stairs to watch the news and I had sky news on for a couple of hours just watching the tributes and stuff and at about 9ish I went upstairs to tell my mother (who's a big admirer, she's met her and stuff a few times when she's visited Wales, as she was the Princess of Wales) but she didn't believe me. I think it hit my mother quite hard, I remember she shed a few tears in the kitchen that day.
Both 'Pac and Diana's deaths were tragic loses for the world. Alot of non hip-hop fans prolly wouldn't care to see much into 'Pac's death compared to Diana who did alot with charities and sick people but you can't deny the impact he has had on so many peoples lives, for the better and we should feel blessed that we still have his music. Diana was a very good person, alot of people take jabs at her for the affair and stuff but that to me showed that she was just human, she's a good role model and the good things she did overshadow the bad things by miles.

First off, you cant be sitting "Behind the TV" and watching it at the same time unless your watching from a mirror...Second off The year was 2000 when you were in 7th grade, 2Pac died in 1996...Plus you just got cable like 4 months ago...
Well anyways, I was eating dinner with my family (It was Jewish holiday) and my uncle (who used too be a hip hop head) told me, and I was like WTF? I was thinking about how much it sucked...Ill never forget that day...

I was listening to the radio. I was in 10th grade, and back then I only listen to the radio, like I listen to 7 hours of radio a day not including car. But I was listing to Power, I was shocked for sure 'cause I thought he would live. Then I almost cried for the first time in years... almost. :'(
