how come they dont work together anymore, he would of been awesome on 2001 i wonder what he did when kurupt got asked and he dident
and why dident dre thank daz at the vibe awards but thanked everyone else?
-
probably cause daz talks a lot of shit and keeps saying dr dre steals beats and daz basically made all the beats for whatever album
-
yeah daz spent all those years talkin shiet about dre, now he wonders why dre doesnt show him no love.
-
Dr. Dre hates Daz :)
-
THE SOURCE MAGAZINE August 2001
Daz: "Since getting off Death Row, nobody wanted to give me a deal - nobody would fuck with me;
like Snoop and them wouldn't fuck with me. Dr. Dre wouldn't fuck with me..."
"...Dr. Dre just mixed the shit... He'd come in and say "That's no good," change one thing and put his name on it.
That's why we fell out, that's why I don't fuck with him...."
"They wouldn't take me on the Chronic tour (Up In Smoke Tour) or nothing."
but that was 4 years ago, I doubt they really have any kind of "problem" with each other
on "Tha Dogg Pound Gangsta LP" he thanks Dre sayin': "Dr. Dre, my mentor, from your first student of production"
-
does anyone have the audio or video of dre's speech?
-
wasn't it cuz daz was still with death row....thats why he wasnt on 2001
-
aint Daz signed wit Jermaine Dupri's comapny, and there is sum beef between JD n Dre or summin (i read a lil bout Dre and Xzibit dissin JD; dunno how old it is tho lol).
-
^^^ it's pretty old, but when Daz signed with So So Def he said it didn't mean shit now, it was over with
also, I don't think anybody knows the feelings toward them, whatever ::)

i remember that issue, they were asking about "Dillenger & Young Gotti". i never understood that part, was daz saying that dre mixed "at night" (i believe thats the song they were talking about)?
-
^^^^ nah, no way, he didn't mix that shit, it woulda said in the credits
they probably just took it out of a part of the interview and put it on that little paragraph just to get it in the magazine
because when they are explaining those other songs it has a bunch of shit they're sayin that doesn't pertain to thee particular song
-
Well historically, Dre hasn't been the type to easily forgive n forget until after the person's dead. Of everybody he's had beef with, I can't really think of one that he's worked with since then. I'd assume he's cool with Luke but I wouldn't expect them to work together anyway.
But the shit Daz said definitely hurt Dre's credibility, and I wouldn't expect Dre to just be cool with it you know? Like "Daz is cool with me....even though he told the whole world that he produced some of my best songs and told em I didn't do shit but mix the songs" just doesn't sound right. If Daz came out tellin people he made it up, it makes him look bad, but even then I couldn't see Dre sayin "alright we cool now". Bein a producer myself, I would never do some shit like they say Dre did (save this line for as long as u want...bet I never will), and if I really didn't do it but somebody I worked with came out tellin people he made my shit, I wouldn't be too eager to thank him or work with him ever again in life. That's like tellin the world that you ghost-wrote everything Stephen King did, and then wondered why he doesn't put you in the "First off, I'd like to thank....." section of his book.
-
but I bet it's true though, Daz said he helped co-produce songs on "The Chronic" when it's all credited to Dr. Dre
I don't think Daz would make that up (even though he says crazy shit all the time)
Why out of nowhere would he do that? He probably helped him with some shit on it, and Dre didn't wanna give him credit and he took it the wrong way, and Daz has probably done tracks and Dre has come in and changed one little thing on it and then put his name on the credits in the past (like he said). Dre has been accused before of not completely doing everything.
Daz was just probably pissed that Dre has changed some of his shit and got credit, and that he wasn't credited for some shit he helped Dre with. And another thing, Dr. Dre mixed "Dogg Food" and you got a ton of people actin like Dre produced it and sayin Daz aint too good cuz Dre mixed it, Dre has people co-produce his shit too, you can't act like he doesn't, its just dumb how people are act like mixing a fuckin track is coming up with the keys and the tune and the drums etc..... ::)

Yea I definitely agree. I think Daz coulda done a lotta shit for Dre. And also with mixin....maybe there are just some things I donno about mixin, or even soemthings that Dre does diff from what a person mixin usually does, but people ALWAYS say shit about "Dre mixes soooo tite" and act like Dre's mix alone will make a C beat an A beat. I have heard he probably adds different sounds, changes some of the sounds, and similar things, but even that will only turn a B+ to an A- or C+ to a B or whatever you know?
And yeah it is fact that a LOT of Dre's shit is co-produced, 95% of everything we've heard from him since 99 has been touched by a lotta other people. It's arguable to say that Dre is great because whenever he works with producers, those producers never make anything half as good without him. But at the same time, I wonder what Dre's shit sounds like right now if he didn't have ANY input from other people other than those who play instruments, which don't really have a hand in the composition.
-
^^^ exactly..... I like Dr. Dre and all, he is great, but people make him out to be TOO great and make it like if his name is on something then it's all him right there, like whatever he touches makes coal turn to gold
because there was a thread about a month ago or somethin askin if Daz was a super producer
people had their opinions, but they automatically jumped to the conclusion that he's not great cuz he has people help him with some tracks, like he's the only guy in history to have a co-producer on some of his songs...... and how "pretty much" Dr. Dre was responsible for the greatness of "Dogg Food", basically flipping the script, acting like the mixer did the entire track rather than the producer, just because it's Dr. Dre :grumpy:
-
i agree on wat your all sayin rite but a thing that bugs me if one person says dre stole there material and dre like an idiot doesnt respond to it then other people r gonna catch on and at the end of the day it dont matter how many people have said that he stole from them DRE is the one still makin multiplatinum sales and im a fan of daz but since death row none of his albums have been massively successfull have they? same goes for above the law when they said dre took all there credit.
If Dre stole there music how come they havent been able to make betta music since
-
^^^ but no one's saying he stole anything..... all it appears is that Daz and Dre's problem seems to be "credit"-wise related, that's all
-
and also it's crazy that you say he hasn't put out anything tight since Death Row
"RAW" was incredible, he did all that production, that's a WC classic, "This Is The Life I Lead" was solid with co-production by Mike Dean
and the other 2 were good as well

I said somethin about that...."It's arguable to say that Dre is great because whenever he works with producers, those producers never make anything half as good without him." With Daz, he hasn't had as much heat since 96, but music has changed a lot since then and he switched his style a few times and wasn't quite as successful. Dre's input coulda helped him come up with heat back then, but I couldn't really tell you why he hasn't made as much dope shit since 96. Daz's shit since then has just been decent, but nothin at the Dogg Food level at all.
-
RBX dissed Dre and they were cool after.
-
If Daz "Produced Chronic And Doggystyle" how come none of his other shit was ever as good, but Dr Dre has been makin hits since ..
Daz living in a dreamland
-
If Daz "Produced Chronic And Doggystyle"....
I like when people take things out of context
who said he produced those 2 moron?
-
well doggystyle and the chronic wernt the only two albums daz put work into that were dope. independantley he produced dope tracks for all eyes on me and doggfather which is a very underated album.
in other words dre needs co producers more than daz.
-
^^^ majority of producers have help, it's just that people are stupid and have no clue
-
and how "pretty much" Dr. Dre was responsible for the greatness of "Dogg Food"
\
Dr. Dre, Daz, Soopafly and Larry Chatman were all responsible for the greatness of that album. There's more to the making of that album than you'll ever know.

OKKA....what im saying is that he never gave warren his full credit of doing anything(like the Chronic, hell half of the music industry dont give "G" his credit)or for even bringing Snoop to the table(if not for warren putting that tape in the tape deck, mybe snoop would have never got put on).hell!thats his little brotha, and you would think that he could at least, put that nigga on as one of his in house producers when Gchild was out there bad dogg...(niggaz just aint saying all this shit about that nigga for nothing)....some of this shit has to be true....Warren wont speak on it,cause thats his brotha....yet everybody else is.....shit Warren-g even said it his self, along with cold187. that the real "gfunk"was started by (cold187).thats why he is the (GCHILD).cause he learned from 187 back in the days.chilling at KMGs crib in the "BLACKMAFIA STUDIO".......Warren took snoop to the studio to rap for Dre,and Eazy during the NIGGA4LIFE era...yet Dre was not feeling snoop(untile that tape)....Kokan was part of the "BLACKMAFIA CREW"(whom was part of the Chronic lp )with 187,and KMG ect......yall niggaz got shit twisted, listen to 187 pro.and you can here that funky worm in all his shit(he never changed)from the 1st lp.which Dre co-pro."now I got a murder rap", :pimp:"blacksuperman" ect....and its still fucked up on how nate, snoop did WARREN on the 213 lp...he said it him self on a westcoastrydaz live interview.yet he comeing up with this next Lp.watch.....RESPECT TO THE G-CHILD.
