Hurricane Katrina is a major tropical cyclone expected to devastate southeastern Louisiana (especially the Greater New Orleans area), as well as southern Mississippi, southern Alabama and possibly well inland. At its second landfall, it is expected to be one of the most powerful cyclones to hit the United States in recorded history  :o

this is the 3rd hurricane to hit flo and miami since i came back, my vacation ended was ended abruptly bcoz of the 2nd one  >:(

I'm surprised that this hasn't been posted a lot, if it hits as hard as they are predicting, RIP New Orleans.  The city is below sea level, I can't imagine the total amount of damage this would cause, which would be much more devastaiting than any hurricane that has hit florida

Watch the clips on the cnn link, they're talking about flood water being stuck in New Orleans for up to 6 months.

Three of my cousins had to evacuate their homes in New Orleans cuz of the Hurricane.

shit man, looks like about a million people will be losing their homes. This is HUGE. Let's see how the Bush handles this
