For me, Dogg Food = Temple of Boom = Bow Down
Damn, which one should I pick?
Ahhh, fuck it, I'm going for Temple of Boom since I bumped that one most frequently + I personally prefer Cypress Hill over Dogg Pound & WSCG.
-
Safe & Sound out of that list.

what other major westcoast releases were there in this year btw?

Twinz - Conversation would be my 2nd pick after Dogg Food. Safe + Sound after that.

ya'll really gotta stop livin' in tha past

Dogg Food
No doubt it's Dogg Food. The Dogg Food album is not only the illest West Coast album of that year but the Dogg Pound album is one of the greatest West Coast albums of all time, they outgangsta'd other West Coast gangsta rappers on the album and they outemcee'd all the so-called emcee's from the East Coast on that album, and "New York, New York" was the exclamation point that gave Death Row domination over both coasts, this was Death Row in it's prime, you can't touch that.
