Title: Quik's "GET UP" with Game needs a vid or Trauma won't sell!

If quik doesn't get a video for get up, Trauma won't sell.

It needs commercial dick-riding to get some units.

I love quik, but i just hope he makes good vid choices cause this will make or break him.

I do think you're right, but it doesn't nec. need to be Get Up.  Yeah Game is on there, but Chingy, Ludacris, T.I. and Wyclef all have commerical appeal.  So if he shoots a video for anyone of those songs, I'm sure his sales will pick up.  Shame though, this album is one of the hottest of the year and probably won't be heard by the masses.

well, he surely needs a video ASAP.
and he needs a single that gets spins outside of cali.
as much as i love this album would like quik to sell major units again, i have a doubts it will happen since the album hasn't really been promoted so well...

i disagree, an album thats good spreads like wild-fire... ive already been hearing "fandango" up in a club in australia...

I'd like to see "Fandango" have a video first, then either "Spur Of The Moment" (tha version from Quik's album) or "Get Up"...

I don't really feel Get Up as much as other songs and Game sounds like crap on that song.

not really feelin that song as a single, the one I'd pick is "Indiscretions in the back of the limo" or "Spur of the moment"

Get Up would probably work as the best single.  Its definitely not the titest song on the CD, probably one of the weakest actually, but it would have commercial appeal.  "Black Mercedes" is probably the hottest track on the CD, but that won't work outside of the LA area.  "Indiscretions" is too smooth for a single, dickriders want something more up-tempo.

Black Mercedes is my favorite track, and I do think it could catch some ears outside the west. It definitely has a west coast sound, but its somethin anybody could ride to, and wit Nate on the hook it's no questions.

well for good mainstream play it would be the best if they choose ladies & thugs

thats true but only outside america. in the US people need the music to be drilled into their heads through mtv and the radio only then will it sell. word of mouth doesnt work in america i guess

and speaking of videos i think Black mercedes or spur of the moments would really do well, get up is ok nothing special
