A deal might still be reached for Lucarelli of Livorno.
He called an emergency meeting last night with the chairman and is unhappy, especially about his brother being sold, and although said he doesn't want to leave Livorno, he isn't ruling out a late move to Spurs, due to the recent ongoings in the club.
He scored 24 league goals last season in Serie A.

Hes a good signing for us, think we would have been better off buying a replacement for Kanoute but I think 7m is probably fair for him. Good to see we signed the South Korean dude, and got rid of Erik "never cross the half way line, except to score screamer against Liverpool" Edman, finally an attacking left back.
Doesn't look like the whole Lucarell and Keane thing is going to happen now though, only four or so hours left to make any deals. I was also hoping we would have got rid of Michael Brown by now, I though Wigan & Everton were gonna make bids today?

Good signing for Spurs, but seems that spurs are on a mission to have the largest midfield squad in football :P. Got the basis to a very good squad but another striker seems to be needed imo

yeah the same.. i was shocked to see kanoute go cos thought he had a good partnership with Defoe... would have probably prefered a striker to a midfielder aswell but cant turn jenas down his already a great player at like 21.. i dont mind michael brown really, makes me laugh just one of them cunts that alls kickin back of ya legs and that bit like robbie savage...
reckon we should maybe offload sean davis his good player but cant see him makin ne real impact in the team...

Plus Mido and Defoe looked awesome as a partnership in pre-season and have continued that into the start of the season proper. Not sure about us signing Rasiak though. And Michael Brown is useless, a get a bad feeling everytime I see him in the lineup. We need to get rid of him, and then one of Davis/Mendes in the January window, we're starting to collect way too many midfielders.

Yeah we got the biggest squad in the premiership... 35 players even chelsea have only 29 lol.... but like Jol said they all of a young age so they gainin valuable expirence off every other player within the team... Still got confidence that we've goin to have a best season too date..

Cerny - Czech international keeper, behind Cech in Czech, and behind Robinson in Spurs, the man got an impossble task.

Jenas is so overrated it's ridiculous. He runs box to box like a headless chicked and that's it. Never once seen him have an excellent game or do something remotely good on the ball. Michael Brown on the other hand, if given freedom on an attacking role, will score for fun. His passing his good, his finishing and ability to shoot from distance is fantastic. He's not afraid to put his foot in either. Great stamina etc. An all round effective midfield player.

Your point is Jenas must be good because he was vice captain of Newcastle, my point is Newcastle were completely shit while Jenas was vice captain. If a team is brimming with good class then they don't finish 13th, no matter how bad their manager is. Newcastle last season had a selection of poor quality players, and Jenas didn't even stand out amongst them in terms of ability on the pitch (the fact he sometimes had the captains armband doesn't mean fuck all). If he was any good Arsene Wenger would have snapped him up.
