I'm keep reading it in Italian newspapers. Personally i think it's straight BS, too good to be true. I'm reading he can be signed paying 400,000 ? Damn if it's true. I love this player (there's a topic where i label him "the best 18 years old i've ever seen"), but i think he should sign a new contract with Barca, they litterally discovered and made him a player and a man. But damn, Messi to Juventus is my wildest dream. Capello was been really really really impressed by him after the Gamper trophy. I've never seen him so excited for a player. But we will probably get Cassano for free next year. Who's better? Messi or Cassano?
-
I doubt it yet, especially not for 400,000 euro. Give it a couple of seasons until he realises that despite the fact hes gonna be an awesome player by then, he's still never gonna play consistantly because they already have Ronaldinho in his position, then other teams might be able to have a chance of getting him.
-
I've heard he signed an irregular contract (it had to be signed by both Messi and his father, but only his father signed it) so the player can buy out for 400,000. This is too good to be true.

Messi without a doubt.
-
Cassano is good but Messi's better
-
Yeah, Messi is my fav one too.
-
I don't know about Messi but here's my thoughts on Antonio;
I would say theres a 75% chance that we will see Cassano in Turin for the 06/07 season - Cassano wants Capello, and I'm sure Capello wants Cassano. What's better than picking him up for free?
-
Oh man it's already considered a done-deal here. But you know, we didnt know about Messi. We could give it up on Cassano if we sign Messi.

I haven't seen enough of Messi to make a proper verdict, afterall the sucess rate of Spaniards in Serie A is minimal. I'm pretty sure that Cassano will be the man, and not Messi though.

Messi is a great player has the potential to be one of the best imo
He's only signed a contract extension in the last few months with Barca that has him tied up till 2010 at least, with rumours that his buyout clause is close to 100 million euros and Barca rate him very highly i'd be shocked if Barca were to let him go & for 400K euros wow that would be an awful choice

he can get away for 400.000 as barce fucked up the contract.
he's signed for the a-team, but in the spanish league you can only have 3 non eu players in the a-team and messi is the fourth. if they signed him for the b-team, there would be no problem and he would be able to play, now he cant.
second of all, he was a minor when he signed the contract, therefor both mom and dad had to sign the contract. but only his mom did.
messi wants to play this season so he can attend the worldcup next year. if he cant in barca(see above), he'll sign somewhere else
barca is now trying to fix things. but they seriously fucked up and its not only juventus who wants messi, also inter milaan, ...
real madrid said they wont sign him, feeling sorry for barca..

LET ME DREAM!!! :-X

Yeah Barca are hoping to get him a Spanish passport in December & Messi says that he's willing to stay so that his contract will then be legal, didn't know that he needed both his parents needed to sign though bit of a fuck up from Barca & the Spanish FA there,
Barca should let Marquez go, he's a good player but Messi is another class & the other 2 Ronaldinho & Eto'o are too good, shocked that Eto'o hasn't got a Spanish passport due to the amount of time he's played in Spain usually a club try's to get a player to apply after being in a country for 5 years
Would it not be a free transfer that he could go for then? or would Barca just get 400K euros as compensation due to his age & the Bosman rulings?

Really? LOL! Man, he ain't moving nowhere, even if it's true his contract is fucked up. Don't get your hopes up, he'll stay in Barcelona for a couple of years at least.
But he ain't exploding, that you can quote!

no, no free transfer. they got him signed, it's just he cant play for them
and messi wants to play (to get to the world cup) and barca wants to let him play as he's a very good player so they are working out a new contract i guess. if thats not possible he'll sign somewhere else

I was talking about Cassano to Juventus being a "done deal", not about Messi. Messi to Juventus (or Inter, or Milan) is just speculation due to the fact it's possible for him to sign a contract with another team by paying only 400k.

things are gonna get messy in turin
-
If he wants first team football Barca will probably just loan him out to someone.
