Im just wondering, i downloaded some of these things, what are they from? I think they are really good and it sucks that they are so short.
-
well i know that they were supposed to be comercials for the st.ides brew
-
yeah they made 2 or 3 comercials with both pac snoop walking down a street rappin
-
These are commercials, they are played on the radio. The ones with snoop, warren g, nate dogg, etc. are too old to be played now but they used to play them. I heard one a few months back with King T. You can get all the old songs on CD. St. Ides released a CD full of their commercials. I saw one on ebay.

The TV Commercials Used To Be REALLY Cool Whenever They Were Out... I Saw Tupac, Snoop, And Nate Dogg's... Really Neat Stuff. Basically, They'd Be Walkin' Down The Street With A Bag Full A St Ides.. LOL.
-
King Tee & Ice Cube did one as well, its really cool, it's on King Tee's 'The Triflin Album'
-
Here in LA, they give away St. Ides tapes away at some liquor stores when you buy a 40 of St. Ides
-
They do!?!? What liquor store?
-
The liquor store I got mine from is on Pico and Redondo, infact thats where they filmed the intro to Menace II Society.
-
The songs you are refering to were on a St.Ides promo tape that was indeed given out in certain liquor stores that sold the St.Ides Special Brew when it first came out. My friend got a copy and it included a slew of artists from both coasts, among them Snoop, Nate, Wu Tang, Cube, 2pac/Snoop, Method Man amongs others. I don't know if this indeed still going on as the above mentioned tape was handed out around '94-'95 or around that time period. As ya'll might know, Special Brew isn't as popular anymore as it used to be...
