I know it ain't my truck as its an 05 4runner. And my comp is less than 3 months old. But its weird, the same cd will sound just fine in a cheesy ass stereo in my house. And in my truck, it'll play cd's that won't play anywhere else - ones that i've had forever and are scratched all to hell. it's pissin me off.

Well this may sound silly but are u definitely using the right CD's?
Make sure U adjust the settings on ur program appropriately.
use brand new cd's as well.
uhm.
thats it lol

it's your burner..... i had the same problem while back, viruses eventually messed up my computer and got to my burner, for a while everything was like you described and then after a while it didnt burn at all >:(

try different CDs make sure the are CD-R wit the minus not wit the plus and use nero to burn
-
if its a normal audio cd (not mp3 etc) then try burning it at 2x and see how it plays

When you're burning leave your computer alone...don't be running other programs or chatting or surfing the web or anything...Same thing happened to me and I just left the computer alone while the cd-r was burning and ever since I started that it's been all good.

burn at slower speeds... 1x if possible... i used to have problems at higher speeds with an old writer until i got a firmware update for it which fixed the problem
-
I use TDK´s, mid-price blank CD´s and burn at 4x (which is the slowest option for me), and I never have any problems really...but yeah, take the time to burn as slowly as possible, even if it works out at 24x the quality still ain´t the same as when you burn slowly

Props to everyone...i'll try slowing the speed as slow as possible. Peace 8)
