TORONTO (CP) - Entertainment Tonight, the popular syndicated U.S. entertainment news magazine show, is about to sprout a Canadian branch.

Global Television announced Tuesday that it has entered into a partnership to launch ET Canada on Sept. 12, just before the U.S. show celebrates its 25th anniversary.
ET Canada will be hosted by Global on-air personality Cheryl Hickey, who will be backed by a team of reporters plucked from other broadcasters on both sides of the border.
They include former MuchMusic VJ Rick Campanelli, Rosey Edeh, who has been on CNN, NBC and CTV, Kim D'Eon, fresh from CBC, and Roz Weston, recently a reporter on The A-List, the infotainment show on Toronto 1 (now known as Sun TV).
I watched this tonight. It's very very shitty. It's on right after the regualr ET, so it's like an hour of ET. At least the host is hot.
