Title: Wayne Rooney Sent Off Against Villareal

The game between Villareal & Man Utd finished 0-0 with Wayne Rooney sent off for a 2nd bookable offence for clapping his hands in a sarcastic manner in the referees face, after being booked. I think he was right to be sent off, there was no need to show dissent to the referee after being booked.

What does everyone else think? Are referees too card happy at the moment?

Didnt deserve a sending off IMO.  Bit of common sense.

Ref should of pulled him aside and said:

"I am booking you for the foul.  I don't appreciate the sarcastic clapping.  Anymore of that and you'll be off".
