Just moved to this city that I lived near last year, with an awesome vinyl store a cab ride away. So to celebrate living in my first house, I decided to go nuts and buy music to accentuate it. Lots.
Here's the list:
Stevie Wonder - Uptight (Everythings Alright), Songs In The Key Of Life
Chet Atkins- Now and Then
The Clash - Sandinista
Bruce Springsteen - Nabraska
John Mayall - Ten Years Gone
Queen - Sheer Heart Attack
CCR - Green River
David Bowie - Another Face, unnamed LP with demo tracks
George Harrison - Somewhere In England
Paul McCartney - London Town, Choba B CCCP
Hall and Oates - Private Eyes
Johnny Winter - Nothin' But The Blues
Doobie Brothers - Stampede
The Beatles - Love Songs, 65, VI
Santana - Beyond Appearances, Inner Secrets
Heart - Magazine
Average White Band - self titled, Volume VIII
The Doors - Absolutely Live, Other Voices (Post Jim Morrison, surprisingly good)
The Rolling Stones - Love You Live, Some Girls
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here, Dark Side Of The Moon
Johnny Copeland - Texas Twister
Sonny Boy Williamson - Live with The Yardbirds
Golden Earring - Moontan
The Police - Outlandos L'Amour

Yeah living by myself is cool. I got 3 other people in the house too.
My turntable is an Optimus Lab 1100 Fully Automatic. It's a really good one, only like a year old.

That's right. I love owning the original albums. Collecting albums has become a hobby of mine.
-
buying cd's is a waste of money i.m.o.
fair enough if u want a collection but i hate ppl saying thing like "i want the money to go to the artists"
as if $10 is gonna make a dent in their bank account
-
its waaay doper to own the original album. just because of the booklet. and its no fun to show other people your list of mp3s. btw LPs >CDs IMHO. ohh that nostalgia.

It's no CDs. I'm not too concerned with the artist. All the albums were bought in a used LP store, and a lot of the stuff I bought is very difficult to find in any form. If places like that aren't supported they'll close down. I guess you could say I'm a hero. :)

No, 10% is not gonna make the difference, BUT if 50 people buy the album, then it's already $500. 100 people buy it, it's $1,000...you see? If everybody starts thinking the way you do, in 10 years from now artists won't ge platinum with that reasoning.

i thought someone might say that, "every little bit counts" and so on.
but im talking about me personally, my 10er doesn't make a difference to them.

and yeah cool i respect that if you want to buy them for that reason, more power to ya. ;)
