What up...i just wanted to ask how many people here still belive that his (CROOKED Is) album will see the light of day...lets forget about Virgin, Capitol, Death Row days and all those delays...Im talkin about his deal with Treach/Universal, album has been delayed three times now from July to September to October and now we still waitin cuz October is not the month...all we know is that album is COMING SOON...so drop your oppinions what u think?
i think that he needs to drop mixtape ASAP to keep the buzz going ( he has two mixtapes finished i hear )...
...and i belive that his album will not come in 2005..tho i still belive hes going to release album at some point,
.. for me its the most anticipated album on westcoast but are fans losing intrest in him tell me??

i honestly dont think he'll drop, i hate to say it but i can see him being one of those artist just sliding by the wayside....if he dont drop indie OR gets picked up by a small label with the ONLY intent being get an album out...i can see it going on and on...
Problem is they/he want a release that will drop and do really well! Problem is...it wont, no label he has been on has the budget and force (and the desire) to promote it...
Promotion is the only TRUE way to sell an album, its a sad truth, but people would buy a polished turd if it was marketed right! Crooked I is dope, no doubt but without that "machine" behind him its not gonna do well as they want! :-\

He needs to drop a mixtape though...seriously. And wasn't B.O.S.S. Music pushed back to early 2006? I think I've read that somewhere...
Anyway, Treacherous looked like it could've been a big/successful company with an all West Coast stars line-up, and distribution by Universal, but at the same time, it's a new company. So they definitely (and obviously) don't have the experience yet to really market/promote an album.
It was a risk that Crooked I took to sign with Treacherous...and it seems like it won't turn out the way he wanted it to.
He needs to sign a 1-album deal with Koch, drop 1 banging single & video, so it will catch people's (and A&R's) ears, and then start thinking about "doing it big".

I can't see an album dropping anytime soon. I think it will be at least March or April 2006 before we see it. >:(

If Crooked I wants to blow he needs to stop trying to make Gangsta shit. It doesn't work for him. His best tracks have ALWAYS been lyrical tracks, not the G-Shit. "Boom Boom Clap" is a good song, has potential, but Crooked I isn't that type of rapper. He would find more success if he laid off the G Shit, I can almost guarentee.
And, it was a mistake signing to a Start up label... Had he got a deal with Universal themselves, it would be a different story. Nobody is doing shit on Treacherous. Not even K-Young... And by all means, he should've blew up.

i think that he needs to drop that album as soon is possible, if they plan to promote him more its time to start, ive seen the adds in XXL,thats a good move, if Universal is planin to spend some money on that its a damn time,do a cover of The Source and XXL, drop two mixtapes in two months if u know album wont be out before 2006...i know crooked i is working hard and he wants everything to be perfect ( i mean dude is in the rap biz for like 12 years and his album still didnt hit the streets ) but sometimes water just dont flow in your way, some people are talented but they never reach the celebrety of 50,Game and those dudes..i mean look at Dj Quik(dude is a fuccin music genious and i dont see his album in stores here..all i see is 50,unit..etc)...i wish all the best for crooked and i wish him the all the fame in the world cuz the dude is realy talented, good, humble ...but he needs to pull some moves,release that album and if it doesnt hit platinum u will make another one next year and try it again...

The Ads are HORRIBLE. Treacherous has the worst graphics I've seen from a Major since the No Limit Pixelation days.
They may have money, but they're not spending it right.

I agree with what most of y'all said. The thing is talent doesn't equal success and as unfortunate as that is, it's just a part of life. I think Treacherous waited too long and the buzz that Crook had once he first signed with them has died down. Timing is everything, and it just seems the time's never been on Crook's side...so they should either drop it and push it as much as they can, or he should just go indy and fuck with someone like Koch. An indy album is better than not having shit out and better than just having a mixtape. Isn't it funny how the dudes whom you want more music from--you can't get, but the one's whom you don't give a fuck about to hear--all have tons of albums? lol

Basically for a first album, he aint gonna push major units, he has a fan-base now that isn't going to get much bigger before the album, unless he can drop something more commercial to attract more heads, but it's unlikely.
It's another wasted year of his career, and I'm pretty sure we won't hear anything til 2006. A mixtape will be good, yea, but everyone wants the album now, and people will start losing interest, (if some haven't already), and that will harm his sales even more, cos people will just download his shit on the internet, and the internet's probably Crooked's main fan-base.

He said in an interview on my site that its November...The documentary on Death Row will drop next month with a mini soundtrack. He sounded confident so we'll see.

Crooked I is gonna have to do a run of Radio, Press and Net Interviews to get this hype back. He's gonna have to put out a TRUE banger to follow up "Boom Boom Clap" and no... "Cali Boyz" is not that song. He needs to call up Chino, Ras Kass etc. Get on some shit with them. Call up Khalil and get some beats from him. That's Crooked's core style, not this Scott Storch shit he's getting.
