The Game has been inadvertently caught-up in a dispute over the controversial name of his new trainer line, 'The Hurricane'.
The rap superstar has decided against renaming the collection of trainers in the aftermath of the tragedy that has devastated New Orleans and the surrounding area.
However, Game has announced he'll give a percentage of the profits from the sales of the shoes to the fundraising effort, a donation he says will continue until New Orleans is rebuilt.
"A portion of the proceeds will go to help people who lost everything, and that will last until the company ceases to exist or until New Orleans is 100% rebuilt," the rapper said.
Apparently, in order to avoid any controversy over the name, it will not be included in advertisement, while an undisclosed percentage of the sale price - between $80 and $100 a pair - will go to charity.
Meanwhile, The Game has revealed he is considering adopting a child caught-up in the human catastrophe. He said: "It's all I can think about when I wake up in the morning."

what a nice guy

Adopting a child? I doubt Game has even been inside his home in the past 8 months. Adopting a child just doesn't make sense, unless he's gonna take the child on tour with him?
-
I dont think he ever gonna do that..

Adopting a child is not something you talk about considering. You do it or don't, but don't talk about considering to get some publicity.
-
i think games intentions r good but logically i dont think he should adopt a child.

Lil Jay it's not about being a hater. I ain't a Game hater, i got my own life, i mean c'mon! But this rapper named Game has proven again and again that if he has to lie to put himself in a better situation, he does it with no regret. He has already done it. Remember Straight Outta Compton? I'm 21 now? Just to make you an example. Now he's talking about "considering" adopting a child. What the fuck does it mean? Does he want to adopt a child or not? Cause there's nothing to talk about in the media: if you wanna do it, do it! Then talk to the media about it, if you want some free promotion. Now i wanna make you a question: what if in a pair of weeks he still havent adopted the child? Whouldnt you consider him a lier? Nobody told him to adopt a child (it's a really important thing, a big step in your life, it's like having another baby, all of a sudden, etc.), but he said he wanted to do it. And he said it to newspapers, magazines and tv shows. If he doesnt do it, then it's just free promotion. Sad free promotion, joking over victims of a real tragedy.
-
if he said it in a paper then he'll do it. and that's really a good move. does anybody know something about adoptions from distance? do you really think that he will bring this kid in his house? he will send him money.
