DRE IS SETTING IT OFF WITH JERMAINE DUPRI...
DR. DRE is not one to shy away from speaking his mind, and he's speaking his mind in calling out JERMAINE DUPRI for a verbal war. Dr. Dre is going after So So Def CEO Dupri on Eminem's new album "The Eminem Show" which is set to be released June 4th. On the song "What You Say," Dre comes for Jermaine with the lyrics, "Over 80 million records sold, and I didn't have to do it with 10 and 11 year olds." WOW!! Then he curses at Jermaine saying adding, "F_ _ _ Jermaine" in the song. Do you ask WHY Dre is coming for Jermain this hard? Well, it appears that Dre is upset by a comment Jermaine's made complaining about not being considered a great producer like Dre and TIMBALAND. So I guess this is how Dre responds to that statement. Let's see if Jermaine comes back with anything. But in the meantime, Dre is busy producing albums by his newest discovery TRUTH HURTS (which was #8 on Flex's top 8@8 yesterday may I add), and he is also working with rap pioneer RAKIM from the duo ERIC B & RAKIM. He's also in the process of recording what he calls a hip-hop musical called "Detox" which he says will be his final album as an artist. As for Jermaine you can see him perform with LUDACRIS on BET's "Spring Bling," tomorrow night and he also appearing Sunday night on a hip-hop version of NBC's "Weakest Link."

Dr. Dre Disses Jermaine Dupri on Eminem Track

Posted April 24, 2002 -- Controversial rapper Eminem has been involved in disputes with everyone from Everlast to the Insane Clown Posse, and now it appears that he's inspired his mentor, veteran producer Dr. Dre.
While Dre has been involved in beefs with Luke and Eazy E in the past, he hasn't publicly dissed anyone in a while. On "What You Say," a track from Em's forthcoming new album, The Eminem Show, Dre takes aim at Atlanta-based So So Def CEO/producer Jermaine Dupri.
"Over 80 million records sold / And I didn't have to do it with 10 and 11 year olds / F*** Jermaine," Dre raps on the track.
The war of words reportedly began when Dupri said in an interview that he couldn't understand why he's not mentioned in the same list of great producers like Dre and Timbaland. Apparently Dre took the words to heart.
The Eminem Show is due in stores on June 4, while the album's lead single and video, "Without Me," will be released shortly.

The Good Doctor has always retaliated when "SOMEONE" has questioned his ART-Form. He takes offense to that (literally). Case & Point: "who they told you to go and see when your album wouldn't sell".... All Top Notch Producers know who's the "Chairman of the Boards" - JD is really arrogant as hell and we see that everyday around the ATL.
As for as Tha Row situation...that's on a whole different level...That S*** will take you from the Cradle to the Grave.

The diss is deserved cause like someone else said Dupri has lost his integrity, and he really is as arrogant as fuck considering the fact that prehaps only one in ten of his beats are actually dope.
Dre can diss Dupri because it's not like we are going to see a lyrical war between the two, cause they both have most of their stuff written for them, and it isn't exactly great lyricism that you normally see from then. Dre knows that Dupri probably won't retaliate and if he does it is bound to be weak.

Cool...A few producers in the ATL have tried to work w/him and it's always his way. There's nuthing wrong with listening to new sounds, ideas, etc. Also, JD, for the most part, always has a Co-Producer by the name of BRIAN MICHAEL COX working with him.

I just hear "What You Say" on Power 106 at around 11:30 this morning and the song is TIGHT!!!. The beat is very good from what you have heard on the hook preview, but lyrics are what make the song. Dre and Em trade verses and it is a fairly long song, becaue each of them has about three verses. In the end Timbo calls on the phone and I think he says Fuck You to JD. Great song with lots of dissing.

Simply Put: Where's Suge and Daz w/o Dre. Don't get it twisted though. I like Daz Production but he has not made anything worthwhile (album) since Ret/Rev/Get Back that just Bang from Start to Finish. As for as Suge, he knows Dre is the best in the GAME and DRE left DR when they were on TOP. So what does that say.
And to sum it up: Why's every in the industry wanting to work w/DRE?
