Brooklyn's M.O.P have returned once again with a new album titled First Family Salutes The St. Marxmen.
The album will feature more of the gritty, street flavor that has won over critics and fans alike over the years.
This release will be on Koch Records, which General Manager and Executive Vice President Ernie Grunblatt promises will be another classic M.O.P. record.
"Cliff Cultreri and I signed M.O.P. First Family to Relativity Records, where the group had the most success," explained Grunblatt. "We've been friends for a long time, so it's a natural fit for Koch to put out their next great release."
Notable tracks include "Put it in the Air" featuring Jay-Z, "Big Boy Game," "Party Like a Rockstar" and "Pop Shots remix" featuring ODB.
Billy Danze and Lil' Fame have spent the summer doing shows on the Anger Management Tour and are still working on their yet untitled debut on G-Unit.
First Family Salutes The St. Marxmen will hit the streets October 18.

G-G-G-G G-UNIT!
Hold on, you said it was Koch? What's up with that?
-
^^yeah if you read the actual article, the next album is being released on Koch, im assuming it'll be mostly shit they recorded during the stint on Rocafella...
as the article says they are still working on the G-Unit debut...

THE WOOOOOORRRRRRLD FAMOUS.....
While we sit and wait for the official M.O.P. release on G-Unit records (don't hold your breath, because if you did for the Roc-A-Fella release, chances are, you're dead), Billy Danze and Lil Fame will tease us with another street album titled Salutes The St. Marxmen. The album will feature guest spots from Jay Z, Wyclef Jean, DJ Premier and the late ODB. Look for the album October 18th. Fire!! - Andreas Hale

lmao remember when 50 said in a disrespectful way that when he was finished with his "massacre" niggaz would have to release their shit on Koch lmao at the irony of M.O.P. actually being signed ip at Koch.

I know. I just don't get it tho ;D
Does this mean they've got TWO contracts signed at the same time? One at Koch and one at G-Unit, and they just record their shit & get to pick what label they feel like dropping the album with? Weird. Never heard of anything like this before, tbh.

This deal with Koch is just to distribute the album that was supposed to drop on Roc-A-Fella, which I guess was complete already and just needed to be put out there. They are now working on their G-unit debut.

Ah, but then, why...?

I guess by "their next release" they mean this St. Marxmen album? I must've misunderstood that bit at first, because I thought M.O.P were going to drop MORE albums after this on Koch. Which would have been strange.

its really not that complicated...they have signed a 1 album deal with Koch to distribute this album of previously recorded material, most likely from their time on Rocafella...meanwhile they are recording their debut album on G-Unit...
