Y2Hiphop.com staff member, DJ LK (formerlly know as DJ LowKey by the way) recently passed on some information from an interview that took place on Hot97 yesterday. Apparently, Roc-A-Fella CEO, Dame Dash has renewed his interest in signing M.O.P to the label. They are still negotiating a deal to get the pair onto the Roc and may well be close to a final deal. Dash also confirmed that he was interested in signing producer Kanye West who was responsible for some of the Roc's recent hit's.
Memphis Bleek also attended the interview and confirmed that he is working on his third solo album as well as previewing a new version of Murda Marcy (also known as "South Philly Niggaz") with Beanie Sigel replacing Geda K on the track. Beanie Sigel is also back in the studio working on his third album. Looks like the Roc are about to dominate for the next year or so. Be on the look out for those releases soon.

tight news homie... im not a huge fan of the ROC but i gotta respect what they doin business wise... signing M.O.P will def help bringing some rawness to the lable... and with Beanie and Bleek making new albums... it could be a hot year for the Roc.

I agree with Smooth, M.O.P. will definately give the label more rawness, they among the most gangsta in New York.Noreaga to sign next? lol
I believe Nas will think twice before dissing the whole clique if they do sign. BTW I'm making me a M.O.P. best of CD-R, watch out for that.

Good news... hopefully MOP will get more (well deserved) publicity now... as a hardcore fan, I'm delighted at these news... Nas won't diss Roc-A-Fella no more... a great move for M.O.P.

i really find this funny...though this news is farely old...im still laughing...how hypocritical and contradicting do m.o.p. look by signing to ROC-A-FELLA?....emphasis on ROC....remember ANTE UP??...anti bling?....well shit roc-a-fella is all about bling....but i guess money talks right?....they shoulda just signed to def jam....cuz m.o.p. is straight street....roc-a-fella is going to flood their cd with nothing but bling bling anthems....i wish them much success...but i dont think that it is a great choice...im sure they coulda ran with guru over at landspeed...thats a good up and coming label....but hey they do what they want right?....maybe them and camron can make a classic song....though i dont agree with the decision....i hope they do well
