I think Detox will be dissapointment for west coast fans...Don't expect Detox to be anything like the Chronic or 2001.

are u kidding me?
if detox is filled with guests, then whats the point??

people have been waiting for Detox to drop cause they wanna hear a new dr dre album.
not new dr dre tracks featuring all these artists.

and of course its not gonna sound like the chronic or 2001. nor should it.

its 2005.....................west coast hip-hop has evolved. dr dre has evolved as a producer
i expect to hear some electronic g-funk inspired music.  8)

but as for guests, i hope that its mostly dre spitting on all the tracks with maybe a few people singing hooks

2001 was full of guests too. I dont mind guests, as long as they're not some commercial pop rappers (read 50 cent). The guests should just be westcoast rappers, like Snoop, NAte etc.

Mary J featured on The Message  ;D Only track with no guests on it was The Watcher I believe. How bad is it though, to have a lot of decent guest appearances on a Dre album? Of course we want to hear Dre spit, but he definately brings out the best in all rappers that work with him on this project so it will be fine having a lot of decent rappers on there. I don't think Dre will let Tony Yayo on any of the album cuts anyway.

First thing I want outta this album is dope beats, hopefully he will release a Detox Instrumental album like he did with 2001.

I have faith in Dre when it comes to guest appearances, I think everyone knows that Dre can't hold a track down on his own.  It's because he don't write his own shit, I mean the only track he did on his own on 2001 was The Watcher, and Eminem wrote it I think?

BTW my two favourite tracks from 2001 were Xxplosive and Some L.A. Niggaz.  Dre doesn't even appear on these tracks, yet whenever I hear them the name "DRE" springs to mind always because of the dope production.

Dr Dre is a producer, part time rapper.
Always has been.

yeah u are right

but i dont wanna pick up an album (like 2001) and find 2-3 guests on every song

id like to see 10-12 songs, with maybe 3-4 featuring guests
weve heard what everyone else has had to say on record......................a million times over

i wanna hear what dre has to say

What are you talking about Cuz?  Nigga, Dre is westcoast....it's his sound and he takes it where he wants it to go..  Funny when niggaz say shit like that.  Us as westcoast niggaz need to stop living off the old chronic shit, music is changing and so is the westcoast.  We still keep the shit gangsta but we need to move w/ the industry as well...

LOL people is dumb with that sell out shit. He make pop records because he wanna make as much money off rappin as he can before his time is up. Aint that the reason you start sellin records in the first place? How does that make you a sell out, when your whole purpose in the music BUSINESS is to make as much money as you can from jump? You START RAPPIN for the love of it, YOU GET INTO THE BUSINESS  to make money.

And that shit Justin Timberlake was doin was NOT no type of crip walk I ever seen.

I gotta say i wouldnt mind hearing more guests then dre.  I hope dre is obviously on some of the songs.  I think it would be dope though if detox was a grip of underground westcoast artists (jayo felony, celly cel, mitchie slick) on all dre beats.  That will never happen but it would be dope.  Also, i've heard songs that claim to be "Detox" from kazzaa and stuff.  Are those actually songs that leaked from the detox album?  I hope not cuz the ones i got of that aren't that bangin

How do you know he was tryna crip walk? That shit didnt even look like a crip walk. And the way I see it, if you call Snoop a sell out, you gotta call every other rapper a sell out too. People change, people change their minds about shit, so even if he actually was tryna crip walk, I dont give a fuck. Hell, Snoop coulda taught him his self and I still wouldnt give a damn. I aint even a fan of Snoop though, I just think its dumb when people call people that they dont know sell outs.
