Redman Raps With Biggie, Big Pun On New CD Posted on Wednesday, October 05 @ PST by Emil
Redman gets a hand from Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris and Ghostface on his long-in-the-works new Def Jam album, "Red Gone Wild." As previously reported, the set is due Nov. 15 and is led by the single "Rush the Security," which will be featured in the upcoming Activision video game "True Crime Pt. 2: New York City..."
Eminem produced the cut "I C Dead People," which lives up to its name by utilizing rapping from late artists Big Pun, Big L and Notorious B.I.G. Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg team up for the Rockwilder-produced "Mary Jane All Nite," while Ludacris, Ghostface and Icarus appear on "Future Thug."
Elsewhere, EPMD principal Erick Sermon lends production to "Rite Now" and "Let's Go" while DJ Clark Kent produced "Dis Iz Brick City" featuring Ready Roc.
"Red Gone Wild" is the follow-up to 2001's "Malpractice," which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 683,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Hopefully he comes good on this album like his early work [Whut thee & Muddy Water]... seems to have a fair few artists featuring on it too... wonder how that nate and snoop track will come out sounding...

What? Is "I C dead people" on the album? I thought that was fuckin wack... I've suddenly lost all faith in this being a good album.
-

I C dead people was a very innovative cut in my opinion. You can hear how it took a bit of time to write the verses with the dead mcs interplayed into it. It was FAR from wack.

i got the feelin this gonna be dope
-
^ I hope it is.

I know it was innovative, but that doesn't increase the listening fun. Beat was rather boring and the verses were not interesting, no matter how much time Red put in writing in that innovative style.

is redman producing any tracks on it?
he should produce some more.
Dare Iz A Darkside has some dark funky beats from Redman on it
-
disapointed if meth aint on this LP
-
what label will release this?
-
"I C Dead People" was dope, it's nice to see it on the new album, damn i really hope Red got some hot shit on this album...
-
what label will release this?
Def Jam.
The "Rush the security" single sounds dated imo, and "I C dead people" is old as fuck.
"Future Thug" with Ghost, Icarus & Luda is aight, but it's Luda that steals the show. :-\

it's not his fault the album kept getting pushed back as many times as it did.
