Title: ok so i'm thinking of buying a couple of new weapons.
Post by: ARYC on October 08, 2005, 04:47:17 AM
i just got a gun license as a gift (i turn 18 in march so it's 5 months early) and it basically means i can buy any type of rifle, sub-machine gun or pistol i want , granted i'm a bit short on cash but if u were in my shoes what guns would u buy if u knew u could find em all?

i alrady have a Sig Sauer P-226 , an M-16 a colt(7 bullets , not sure what it is) and an HK(same situation as the colt except 20 bullets) and i'm already thinking of the MP-5 Navy, the AK-47 , the AK-74 ,the M4A1 carbine and a desert eagle obviously not all of them at once but what weapons do yall think i should get?

"lmao. are you serious?"

yup

"america is a great country."

I live in Lebanon , if u think Gun laws in america are light ..... hell see if this makes sense: u can't "legally" war time weapons but u can get a license that allows u to carry them and if a police officer stops u and ur carrying he doesn't have the right to ask u about how u got the weapon lol,
shit when Samir Geagea (leader of the LF) was released from jail after 11 years in solitary confinement(for a crime he didin't commit) there were muthafucking rocket propelled grenades (B7s) being fired in celebration in Bcharre (northern lebanon) which is the village where he's from.

anyways , any1 got any suggestions about guns?

If u already got a sig and a m 16 why not move on to long range. Maybe a 50 cal rifle. I was at the range yesterday and some dude was settin off car alarms with his. Heavy duty, able to take out a car from a long long way away

"Maybe a 50 cal rifle. I was at the range yesterday and some dude was settin off car alarms with his"

i saw one of these on the news yesterday and my jaw dropped , they're creating quite a fuss in america aren't they?

"grab urself a dragonov, a beretta 92fs, deagle(desert eagle), and am AK-47 if u have all those u are set for any situation"

what's the beretta like?and as for the AK-47 , i was going to buy it cause it's kind of a legendary rifle over here (EVERYONE HAD ONE) so i just want it for the sake of having it , though i'm interested in the AK-74
"the new and improved version of the AK-47. With a 5.45x39 mm round. Its smaller and lighter plus the velocity, which was the main drawback of the AK-47, has been greatly improved. It has an effective range of 650 meters, compared to 300 meters for the AK-47, and 450 meter for the M-4."

"Lebanons and guns...."

no , LEBANESE and guns

"my weapon of choice is the microphone"
yeah i'm sure composing a wicked metaphore or pucnhline is gonna save my ass when 16 Palestinians are shooting at my ass....
 ::)

"but seriously, im glad i don't live in lebanon omg..."

actually i can't see myself living anywhere else
-if it's about the fear of war breaking out or terrorism or whatever man i've had like 2-3 bombs in the square mile area of my house and it's no big deal ,  if u understand what's going on and where ur going it's not worth getting afraid and i know what my future is "i'll either live for my country or die for it".
-if it's about economic reasons , i'll join the army (if they improve , cause they suck right now , except the commandos they're 5th worldwide in hand to hand combat) or the GDGS
-if it's about lifestyle , i know not a lot of people know this , Christian regions have some of the best nightclubs (BO13 is like 3rd or 2nd in the world) and beaches in the world.

so man it's not ideal , but i can't imagine living anywhere else , hell i'm not even gonna go for a PHD cause i have to leave lebanon for 5 years

Hey i was watchin a film wit Robert redford innit the other night n The Lebonese (sorry if it aint spelled right, dont shoot me) Millitia blow up some buildin..is there such a thing as the lebonese militia or wot?? Coz Bradd Pitt describes them as "Cowboys"
Title: Re: ok so i'm thinking of buying a couple of new weapons.
Post by: ARYC on October 12, 2005, 05:55:50 AM
yeah i've seen that movie , it's set in the 80s when there were like 4 main militias :
-the progressive socialist party (druze , pro-syrian)
-Amal (Shiaa , pro-syrian)
-Lebanese Forces (christians ,pro-lebanon)
-Hizzbullah (shiaa , pro-Iran at the time , still are but also have good relations with Syria)

the "event" in that movie is based on an actual event when the CIA asked a guy named Elie Hobeika ,who is the head of the LFs intelligence branch who later betrayed the LF (for more info go here: http://www.lebaneseforces.com/blastfromthepast017.asp ) to kill a hizzbullah member and instead of a surgical assassination he used a HUGE bomb which left dozens killed. But in opposition with the movie the guy who was supposed to be killed was unharmed and there was no suicide van (who's ever heard of a christian suicide bomber?).

As for the militia being "cowboys" yeah the men he commanded were valiant fighters but they were mentally sick(most were VERY poor and started fighting when they were like 12) and were responsible for a lot of the atrocities in the war, the regulars in the LF use to call them the "apachies" and if it wasn't for hobeika , Bachir Gemmayel (who was killed before hobeika betrayed us) who have had them thrown out of the militia .
Amal were also a bunch of unprofessional fighters who always needed syria to help them out and they had suicide bombers so basically in the movie it's based on an even that the LF carried out but in the movie it's more likely to have been Amal (although who knows?).

"Damn man! u ever thought of leaving your country?? IS that possible??"

i wasn't alive then , i was born in 88, during the "war of Liberation"(lebanese army+LF artillery VS Syria) and the "war of elimination" (Lebanese Forces VS Lebanese Army) ironically those were the 2 wars that most destroyed the Jounieh area (where i live) , and my dad didn't want to leave (he didn't want to leave his parents).
As for me , I use to want to leave Lebanon when i was younger and wanted to become a wrestler lol but I love this place too much to leave.

Somebody said to get a Dragunov - Don't. It's very lightweight, so it's easy to carry around, but that's pretty much it's only plus. It's inaccurate as hell. (We were taught to use sniper rifles in the army.)

But if you really want one, get the AK. The Finnish army's assault rifle is pretty much exactly the same thing, and I can tell you it really is a good weapon.

My personal opinion - don't you have enough guns already? Shit, I don't have one gun and I ain't planning on getting one neither. But then again, we ain't exaclty in the same situation or neighborhood...

i'm not really into the really heavy guns , cause most the fighting that could happen in Lebanon (God forbid) is close quarters , street battles or mountainous areas so you need ur mobility and i'm not exactly superman
