Title: Common throwing subs at Nas?

I was bumpin "Be" earlier and noticed something on Chi City.  Early in the 1st verse Common drops these lines:

The game need a makeover
My man retired, I'ma takeover
Tell these halftime niggaz break's over

Obviously he's talkin about Jigga retiring, then he mentions "takeover" which was Jay's diss to nas.  Then tells these "Halftime" niggaz break's over. Is that a Nas reference too?

Probably a stretch but that seems like a lot of coincedences.  And for the record i ain't into who's dissin who, i just noticed and wanted to see what yall thought. Peace

I dont think they are shots but just using clever wordplay, since nowadays u cant say Jay Z's name without mentioning Nas and vica versa

I thought the exact same thing. Took a couple of listens before I noticed it since sometimes there'll be instances where you're not paying attention to every single line. Was planning to make a similar post to this but never ended up getting around to it.
