i picked up his first album about a year ago and its fuckin kick ass, my buddies always want me to throw it on and i never get sick of it, is his second album any good, what tracks should i check out?
-
I liked the second one better...that was one of my favorite 3 albums of 2001, and 01 was the best west coast year since 96. That shit was hot to me, and was slept on a whole lot.
-
personal business? it's a banger. better than his first album.
check for "u don't wanna be broke", "how we get down" and "2001 4dr cadillac"
stellar tracks. "streetz illustrated", "life ain't never what it seems to be", "ready to bang", "personal business"...also heaters
it's easily bad's best album
i completely agree with r-tistic.

IT'S A BANGER. MONEY 2 FOLD IS MY FAVORITE TRACK.

his 2nd one is his only good one.... it's one of my favorite cd's but all his others suck compared to it..... he's had a few good tracks on each album but the bad shit outways the good on em
this cd has a lot of Battlecat and some Jelly Roll, Blaqtoven, Big Hollis etc. dope production and good guest appearances
-
haha, the track with ice cube is playing on my zen right now!
this is bad azz's best cd.
-
yea this cd was sick as fuck man. the song with ras kass was my fav on that album
-
hell yeah, "personal business" is absolutely good, mr bad bring heat on this one, str8 up! bad azz best album, no doubt. cop' it if you haven't got it!
favourite tracks:
U Don't Wanna Be Broke, We From The LBC(feat. Snoop Dogg), Dogghouse Ridaz(feat. DPGC), Streetz Illustrated(feat. Ice Cube), Personal Business, Money 2 Fold(feat. DoggPound), Wrong Idea(feat. Snoop Dogg), basically there's alot of ém on this album!!
the production is pretty unequal&uneven on "personal business". he should've stuck to a less amount of producers, that would've
made it more solid. but unfortunately that's how it is in hip-hop these days. too many different producers for one artist/album.

Personally, I don't think he's really overrated, but he hasn't really delivered since 2001. He was probably my favorite rapper when that album came out, and I was completely unbiased before hearin the album. When his first single dropped "we be puttin it down", it was one of those songs that was big because of the featured artist, but didn't really help the artist who's track it was, which was Bad Azz in this case. So I never really had interest in him til I heard him on Tha Eastsidaz track "Nigga 4 life" where he absolutely killed that shit. So when I saw his album up for download in January 2001, I decided to give it a chance, and even though that advance was completely diff from the one that came out, I was like damm this cat reaaally is the business. Flow was definitely on point, had the gangsta swag but was never on the ignorant type shit many rappers are on, and he actually spoke true shit on a lotta songs. If he had a better image and especially a better name, he could be one of those West coast rappers who could REALLY do damage mainstream wise and still get respect in the streets, because he didn't over do it like a lot of em do. So he gained my respect with that album...but the last album he did didn't do much for me at all. No lie, if he came to me on some "lets do a whole album together" I'd produce his whole shit for little or no money, and I guarantee it would be a solid album.

Depends on what you liked. 99 had Top Dogg, Chronic 01, Streetz is a mutha, Daz Raw, and a few others I think. 01 had Eastsidaz Duces n Trays, Personal business, DPG, Kurupt Space Boogie, you could say Restless and Last Meal because they came out in late 00 but got played the most in 01, DPG 2002, The Wash, 2Pac Til the end of time, and a few more.

yeah that album is maybe underrated, but u cannot say an artist is underrated wen he has only released 1 solid album :-\
-
can anyone hook this up so i know if i should buy it
-
This might be Bad's best album, it's a tight competition with "Word On Tha Streetz" and "Personal Business", but some tight tracks from "PB" you might wanna check out are "Don't Wanna Die", "How We Get Down" & "Personal Business", they def. the best tracks on the album, but there's alot of other dope songs too...
-
