Title: "The New Testament" > "Street Gospel"
Post by: WestCoasta on October 21, 2005, 07:16:58 PM
I like this better than "Street Gospel"

the tracks that are real good on it are better than the really good ones on "Street Gospel", I like the production better

I'm sure lots will disagree with me though......  ;D

I like street gospel a lot......

what I meant to say was I like em somewhat evenly..... but the production on the really good tracks on testament outweighs the really good ones on gospel

because on both cd's there are songs I also don't like

"thinkin" is the best track out of the two albums, but New Testament has some filler too.  Street gospel is really consistent though, it doesn't have any one song as good as "thinkin" but it's the better album hands down

Street Gospel was a completey street classic. It stayed in a lotta people's main rotation for 3-4 years, and people waited forever for The New Testament. TNT was like a breath of fresh air and we all liked it and preferred hearin it over Street Gospel, but only because we'd heard SG 100,000 times. The best songs on SG were much better than anything on TNT. Y u bullshittin pt. 1 is WAAAY better than Pt. 2, by far by far far, and those songs were soundin like nothin we'd ever heard before so it was amazing.

Hell no.  Street Gospel is way more consistent and tighter than anything on The New Testament.  "If U Stay Ready" alone beats anything on the second album.

It was darker but that didn't make it better to me...he babbled waaaay too much and didn't rap consistent on there, and the verses flow and humor on the 1st were just much much better...plus we'd NEVER heard anything like it before when it came out. It caught everybody off guard from the first line, which is one of the most known lines in rap history. Put this on in any LA club, and people will sing it line for line for line. Put on part 2 and they are like "y are y'all playin this?"

^ 2 would be better if free wasnt screamin so much, the lead in to the song is so eery, it stirs emotion, but the lack of rhythm by free spoils the track...
