Barcelona linked with £10M New York MetroStars takeover

Barcelona are being linked with a buyout of United States MLS club New York MetroStars.
 
Barca have made contact with the MetroStars' owners John Kluge and Stuart Subotnick and have been encouraged with the progress of discussions over buying the club.

The deal would cost Barca between £7 million and £10 million and would be a key element in president Joan Laporta's ambition to build his club into a global brand to match Real Madrid and Manchester United.

It's understood one of the criteria of the sale going through would be the MetroStars playing in Barca's colours.

So will Barca send players from their Juvenil A club to the Metrostars?


My team from Mexico bought the San Jose Earthquakes lol.
