The preview where it looked liek someone's toes were getting cut off with one of those gardening tools was more than enough.

I liked Cabin Fever, a lot of references to old school horror movies, the title itself if a Shining reference.  The only thing I didnt like about Cabin Fever is the ending, but meh i still liked it.

LMAO...Who gives a fuck about Tarantino, his name is mostly being used for promotion (though I know he exec. produced as well)...This is gunna be Eli Roth's breakthrough film (perfect timing right before "Saw 3")...The new "Quentin Tarantino Presents..." trend is starting to piss me off.

Appearently what happen was that Eli Roth made a film with the Title Restaurant Dogs, as a homage to Tarantino.  So Tarantino saw and thought it was funny and they became friends.  Then one day Tarantino asked Roth what were some of his ideas for his next film and he told tarantino about Hostel, and Tarantino replied with "That’s the sickest fucking idea—make that movie." lol.  But you gotta give some kudos to Tarantino, he did put money out of his own pocket (although for Profit of courst) into both Hero and Hostel for promoting those films.  Im sure such a film freak like Tarantino isnt going to invest in a money that could be shitty.

And here is a short clip(spoilers of course) from the film...

Saw Tarantino on Late Night the other day, and he showed a clip from the film, explained the idea and whatnot. And I can safely say this movie is not for me.

Saw it last night - sort of.

Me and a couple of friends took our women to watch this last night.  We drank quite a bit at my house beforehand, went to a restaurant and drank some more.  We got to the show about 20 mins into it and i had a healthy buzz going.  After 10 mins, 2 of the girls got up and went to another movie.  Now maybe i was too fucked up to notice, but it wasn't as gory as i had expected.  But then again, it was only rated R so you know it ain't gonna get TOO crazy.

The basic premise is 2 Americans are in Europe traveling around, and stay at a hostel.  They basically get taken prisoner at the hostel, where they are tortured.  People are paying to go in and torture these people.

I saw it, I took it better then I thought I would. The trailer made it look like it was gonna be so gross lol.

And for some reason when people get hit with vehicles I laugh uncontrollably so I had a few of those moments.

Only a few scenes had some laughable parts but the overall feeling of the movie is not a light horror type of movie.

Man, Cabin Fever isn't a reference to the Shining.  You've never heard of Cabin Fever? Stephen King didn't invent the phrase.

I saw Hostel 2 days ago.  It wasn't all that great in my opinion.  I guess considering most horror movies usually don't have a plot, this was a little better than most, but it's nowhere near the classics like the previously mentioned Shining or anything.  I think one thing movies like this struggle with is that nobody cares when the people get killed or anything, they don't spend any time developing the characters so the audience will be shocked when they die.  The audience anymore is just like "haha fuck him!" when somebody dies because the characters are so shallow.

The shot when the phrase cabin fever was mentioned in the Shining is used in the film Cabin Fever
