I know all of us would love to hear an album with all the songs Dre hasn't used in the last few years, but how many of y'all think he would really do somethin like that? I honestly think he'd never ever do it for many different reasons, but I think it would sell a whole lot just because people have been curious about all the tracks he's supposedly done since like 99, such as Rakim tracks, Hittman tracks, any new NWA songs, songs that didn't make the cut for Chronic 2001, and the list goes on. We hear some every now and then, and sometimes we are like damn I can see why he didn't wanna put that shit out. But sometimes, we hear tracks and it's just like cot damm, that coulda been a major hit!

i'd like it, but it will NEVER happen. Dre has said in the past that if he hasn't released it already then it doesn't match his standard and will never be released etc. which is pretty much the reason death row can't release any unreleased material of Dre's they have
-
i highly doubt it... but it would be cool

But dosen''t Death Row have the legal right to release anything that was recorded under their label?

That would be an amazing thing for Dre to do after he ends his rapping career with Detox... That's the only time when it could happen, after the Detox hype has tied down (so that's something like 2 years after he drops Detox). Then again, I highly doubt Dre will ever release the cuts that didn't make it onto his projects in the first place. He's said it before and he will probably stick to it... He's a perfectionist and he doesn't want anything that's not totally living up to his potential, to ever be released on an album of his. On that note, I highly doubt an official "lost tapes" album of Dre ever seeing the light of day.

that would be some shit man, i could see this easily gaining classic status

clicked on the wrong option, but I highly doubt he would ever do that.

let's hope someone kills him... Interscope would definately do it ;D

it wouldnīt change anything coz Dre owns his masters and i donīt think his wife would put it out coz itīs not like she would be suffering financially if Dre would pass away.
i donīt Dre will ever do something like this coz he just seems to be too much of a perfectionist to release something that wasnīt good enough to make it on to his official albums. allthough his left overs would prolly be better then everything thatīs released these days i still donīt think it would happen.

No, Dre took legal action against tha row so they cant release that material.
-
^ The legal action he took was just him upholding the terms of his departure from Death Row. He had Suge sign a contract agreeing that Dre would let him have his portion of the Row, if Suge would agree to only release Dre's material in the form that it was originally released in. So all the unreleased stuff had no original form and couldn't be put out. When Suge tried to release it, Dre sued him, and they found in favor of Dre's agreement.
-
why fuck up his legacy ?
when he dies maybe someone will release all his shit...
-
^ yup thats what i'm thinking.
the 'estate' may milk it for what it can.. depends on how dre's looked upon in 40 or so years time.. (if he makes 80...)
-
I don't think he would do it because he doesn't give a shit. Thousands of fans would be forever grateful if he did, but he doesn't give a fuck.
-
No, I think he's too much of a perfectionist to release a Lost Tapes album. The only material he releases is considered "top-notch" in his opinion (and he's right 95-99% of the time), so there's a certain consistency in his method. So by releasing a Lost Tapes album (which would most likely contain tracks that are not considered top-notch - otherwise he would've released them, right?) he would kinda degrade his reputation.
That's how I see it...
-
the only way i see him releasing a lost tapes type of album is if he goes bankrupt.
-
I highly doubt that he would ever do it although it would be huge. I would love to hear Dre Day 2. The only way we would ever hear something is if he ever died and his wife were to put something out.
-
No way he releases that shit.
I think he's just gonna take what's left and give them to other artists as beats.
Dre leftovers> a lot of beats out there
