Big Shouts to Black Wall Street for hitting YOUR number one West Coast news source with this Exclusive news. Sony Urban Music along with Big Ego Entertainment has signed the newest star from the West Coast, G.Malone. The same man who found superstar The Game, Former Aftermath Music A&R Exec Mike Lynn, is behind this signing. Mike Lynn, who has his own label imprint through Sony Music, just inked the Watts native's 1.7 million dollar label deal. Sony and Mike Lynn were so impressed with the grimey Watts rapper that they not only signed him as an artist, but gave him his own label imprint Blu Division.
G.Malone’s debut album The Beach Cruiser will be on Blu Division/Big Ego Entertainment/Sony Music Distribution. As stated earlier, Mike Lynn was the one who brought Multi Platinum rapper The Game to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath imprint, has now saw the same vision and the movement in G.Malone. He was so eager to sign the Watts emcee that he was willing to pony 1.7 million dollars for the deal and give G.Malone his own label imprint. G.Malone, who has been bubbling on the underground nationally, had label offers from Def Jam and The Game’s own Black Wall Street, but decided Mike Lynn and Sony saw his vision clearly for his Blu Division Movement and how he plans to shakeup the rap game.
G.Malone, who is a Black Wall Street affiliate, is still managed by G-Ride and Big Fase 100 of the Black Wall Street. G.Malone’s debut album The Beach Cruiser will be dropping in the 2nd quarter of 2006. He will be dropping the follow up to his smash mixtape White Lightning Sticks before the year is out. The Blu Division Movement is in full swing stay tuned.

NICE.
Congrats to him. 8)
I wanted him to sign with BWS, but at least he's now more likely to drop an album (soon).
How does this affect is relationship with game?
-
dissapointed that he couldn't work BWS in there someplace, but G. Malone is tight, i really hope he blows up!

Mike Lynn is with Sony now? ha...wonder if that means BWS will end up on Sony
-
i wonder how dre feels about mike lynn making moves outside of aftermath...and since mike lynn does alot of dre's footwork how will this fuck up...i mean affect aftermath? is there some tension between mike lynn and dre? running your own label takes alot. will mike lynn be able to juggle both? but...yeah...congrats to g.malone!! he's one of the tightest new niggaz on tha west.

dunno coz Sony´s hip hop track record(minus Loud Records)aint all of that and they´ve done some of the biggest mistakes ever in the music business. dropping Alicia Keys,50 Cent(allthough they were on Columbia but their apart of Sony) and generally fucking shit up. only rappers that i remember that has had a long and successfull stay on Sony/Comubia(minus Loud)are Cypress Hill and Nas. but Mike Lynn is a smart guy and if he really has some serious pull over there this could be a good move for Glasses but most likely he´ll end up like most new artists. dropped from the label before he´s even had a chance of releasing an album.

Congratulations to G. Malone :)

Congrats for the signing.
that's the last that I heard that they were doing 90% or so, and he just recently hooked up with Warren G. NJD will probably also do something on the album

For the person who asked how does this effect Mike Lynns relationship with Dr Dre and Aftermath .. Well it does't.. Mike Lynn had left Aftermath as of a few months ago and he is no longer is part of Aftermath..This is obviouslly his new venture..
I don't know if this has effected his and Dre's relationship but I do know as of right now Angelo Sanders who can be seen on the Devils Advocate DVD -as a Aftermath A+ R now has Mikes former position at the label ..
