Today.. I officially dropped outta school... I'm 17 years old, workin at Jack In The Box... after being in homestudies for about two years... I was like fuck it... Now I'm here tryna make sure I still remember all my ABC's and 123's...

Ha, nah man, fuck that, I waz thinkin bout droppin out last year at my sophmore year but when I put my life infront of me I waz like Fuck that, I aint gonna survive in life kickin it wit my cuzins all tha time and gettin into so much drama and shit.......
So Im tryin 2 get my credits and graduate cause thats tha minimum u can do, and imo u have at LEAST do tha minimum........U gotta have that much self-repect, and who knows i might go 2 college after this, tha way i see it is I should, and im really figuring out how colleges work etc.......
So my point is STAY IN SKOOL KIDS. lol.

naw j/p... most of what you said is true though.. I still plan on gettin my education on.. after I turn 18 I'ma try to get my Liscense and that way I could drive my ass to school and to work... my thing was fuck homestudies... fuck studying at home period.. that's bullshit.. that's what schools for, so you can do your shit there... I aint in tha fuckin mood to read when I'm at my pad.. I wanna watch Maury Povich and Jenny Jones... fuck reading!
But for right now... I'ma be cashing in on all the big bucks waiting for me at Jack In The Box....

ive wanted to drop out since last year, im still in school though, 2 months left. I was goin drop out get my G.E.D., an than go to community college, my dad said no cuz he would kick me out tha house an plus he wanted to see me go 2 a good college, funny thing, im graduating high school an still going to community college, i cant afford a real college. I dont know about u guys, but for me, highschool has been completely pointless 80% of tha time. I have learned more in tha anything goes forum than i have in high school. But that has a lot to do wit NY system, the Regents. We are forced to learn exactly what they want, we cant really expand much on anything, there is a lot of stuff we dont have time to learn about b/c of that bull shit system. School is utterly pointless, i honestly feel every highschooler should drop out b/c school is pointless, i dont know about you guys, but i honestly feel like i have gotten stupider b/c of tha bull shit i was taught. Tha whole system is completely fucked

damn. i feel old compared to ya'll. I finished & highschool & college, and im 21. i considered droppin outta highschool 1/2 way through, but you dont have as many job opportunities & shit if you do that over here.

Don't get me wrong, you should finish high school if ya can...but I got damn near str8 A's all thru school, didn't go to college and now I'm workin' at a grocery store (but makin' decent money) and I'm happy. My point is, I could be doin' what I'm doin' now if I had dropped out of school, str8 A's or str8 F's!

Man, Skool is a joke, fa real, most of tha ish peeps learn in skool u will never use in ya life!! I mean, its pointless most of tha stuff they teach u!! I dropped out in tha 11th grade. I just said fuck it!! I said I will just get my G.E.D and go on! Even if I woulda graduated I would be makin tha same money I do now so fuck dat ish!! well being from the i.e. im sure aint shit else for u to do but to drop out...fuck it....but ill put it this way....if my drunk and autistic ass could graduate a semester early from a regular high school then anyone can do it...and fuck taking the s.a.t.'s just go to community college.....lots of bitches(most have kids but fuck it u know they fuck already), the education is the same shit, its cheaper, the teachers could give a fuck, people aint all stuck up.....just go back and at least get ur g.e.d. at least u will have something....thats all that matters.....just dont leave it at that....too many kids doing that now a days

WORD.... My thoughts exactly...... FUCK SCHOOL...... Especially grade school, jr. high, and highschool..... atleast in college everybody pays to go to school, and there's no such thing as busy work or any bullshit polotics that go with high school.....
But yeah.... fuck it.... Educate yourself... Drop the fuck out of school, get a job, get your GED, then go to the fuckin library, and educate yourself. And ORDER BOOKS. The library is very bad about having books to please a wide variety of people and idea's.... but they will let you order the books..... So go, and educate yourself for a year or two. Work some jobs, see what's out there..... And then go to college if you want.

hs is bullshit, but they are non profit organizations and poorly ran at that...
true i didnt really learn anything important in HS, but i learn plenty useful stuff in college. not only that but looking back HS really wasnt that hard either... whether yall believe it or not yall could easily finish that shit with str8 A's some of u probably already realize this..
and while it might not be anything important, u aint gonna learn anything u need to know to work at a grocery store, but calc, and math comes in handy during college... if u have a good english class that can help u out too.... more importantly though HS isnt much work to get through, go there and do ya thing, put a lil effort in... then when college time comes u dont have to pass it up becuz you can get a scholarship... especially minority students its pretty easy to get a scholarship... my one friend didnt even have to pay to apply to college cuz of his finincial status so he just sent in like 20 applications and got all sorts of good deals.
its kind of sad to see all the hating on the education system. i can see why people feel that way i felt that way in HS, but dead prez aint the smartest people out there just cuz they said something u dont have to believe that shit 100%... it might be a bullshit system but stick with it and in the end it pays off.
First off college is tons of fun, u have a great opportunity to take classes u really enjoy with competent professors, and meet all sorts of new people. not to mention mad parties and shit. then when its all said in done provided you worked hard and did good u get to live comfy on a nice salary
can u get through life with out formal education sure... people prove that every day, but you have to have a very different outlook on things to make it if thats the road u take otherwise u gonna end up spendin ya life workin hard and moving slow..
right now im a soph for those of u that just dropped out of HS or whatever i got a smalll story cuz this is gettin long that might change ya mind a lil.
my roommate right now is a junior, he's 26 yrs old and didnt even start college til he was 24 at the community college level.. he went to HS in cali and grew up in santa ana in the ghetto. when he was 18 he got kicked out his house and lived on his own ever since doing the bullshit jobs yall talkin about... finally he saved up enough, went to JC for 2 years worked hard and then transferred to a more prestigious 4 year schoool.. it might have taken him awhile to do all this he will be 27 when he graduates but it just shows u can do it either way... right now avg salary for a mgmt major at my school is like 45,000 a year... which is more than either of his parents make and more than he ever would have made had he quit and just gave up.
