Dope, dope album. I can play this front to back without skipping (and have been for the past few days)... great production from Beats by the Pound and practically every soldier came tight.
Wonder if P ever listens back to this and wonders where everything went wrong?...

That was the 98 anthem.

yeah it was the bomb back then but it's a classic now

That cds got some classics on there i've had that cd since it came out. My fav is "Burbans & Lacs"

Goddamn...Master P is pretty much THE person most directly responsible for cheapening hip-hop culture and ya'll think "Ghetto D" is dope? Just about all No Limit albums were manufactured on an assembly line and put out simply because the demand existed.
OK, I'll admit that "Ice Cream Man" was a decent enough album, but everything afterwards was just straight crap. No Limit's era represents a major low in hip-hop history.

P knows exactly what went wrong with No Limit. Beats by the Pound up and left his ass. They wanted more $, P needed some more gold ceilings in his house and they parted ways. Biggest mistake he ever made. He was on Forbes' list in 98 as one of the top 50 in earnings or the year.
As far as them turning out shit loads of product - yes each album had some filler, but bottom line there were some dope rappers like Mac, Mystikal (nasty as fuck in his early days), Fiend, Soulja Slim (RIP), etc. Each album had lots of guest spots, but typically only featured the NL family. (Last Don being the biggest exception). So basically you knew because of the beats and the guests it would be a tight album.
Now look at P. That fool looks ROUGH. I saw him on tv wearing this backward hat, and i swear to god he had braids sewn into his hat.
