i'd take rhythm d production over yella. i think steffon - "trippin' wit no luggage", me & my cousin - "international" and the tracks he did for paperboy's city to city, were all better than the work yella did in the same time period (me-na-jah-twa - "cha-licious", yella - "one mo nigga to go"). cha-licious was a pretty good album, but i still give rhythm d the nod here.

i disagree wit all respect to rhythm d. Dj Yella is one of the most underrated producers in west coast history. his album One Mo Nigga Ta Go was pacced wit some serious production. The best beat i ever heard is "Ol school shit" wit Eazy and dats Dj Yella.

rhythm d get's credit as a co-producer for "ole school shit". it sounds more like a rhythm d track than a yella track to me. i suspect yella pulled some dre-esque shenanigans with that one.

yella took the drums on that joint

that synth whistle also sounds like rhythm d. when did yella use a whistle like that elsewhere?
without question it's a tight ass song and maybe eazy's best song. right up there with "it's on", "real muthaphukkin' g'z" and "luv 4 dem gangstaz".
if yella did "ole school shit" that's another classic yella track.

Datz how im livin was a tight track.
I really liked that kokane song "4 tha E" which was on that album as well.
-
there is a whistle in "4 tha e"

oh ya.. id def pick Rhythm D from that era over Yella... he did some hard ass shit! but Dats How Im Livin was made in 94 i think for the Ruthless Records Compilation album that never dropped
-
does some1 got pic of rhythm d?
he also produced "down wit my nigga" by paradise.
did BGKO have hiz own radio-show?
