anyone listen to KDAY this morning and hear them talkin about how Kanye coverd up a big poster of the Original KDAY logo before his performance, or appearence.
i dont have my facts straight so im wondering if anyone knows what went down.
all i heard this morning was that the KDAY dj was very upset at how kanye dissed kday.

I've lost alot of respect for Kanye this year already lol.. I caught him on that Big In '05 awards show on vh1 last night and after he won an award he said "I haven't been on the cover of Entertainment Weekly thats because i'm Entertainment Yearly" or something like that.

Every producer in the history of hip hop has sampled. RZA sampled like crazy on "Enter the 36 Chambers" but it's considered innovative. Prince Paul sampled like crazy in "Bahloone MIndstate" but it's considered innovative. DJ Quik sampled heavily in "Safe and Sound" and it's considered innovative. Low End Theory, Daily Operation, The Chronic, Regulate etc etc. All innovative albums full of sampling. What's innovative is when you do something different, regardless of the medium you use to do it. Kanye West has his own style, his own sound, which is different than other producer's sound. Also, every drum sound you hear in a hip hop track is sampled from somewhere. Sampling is a basic building block of hip hop production.
