Besides 2-pac if you had to show off 1 rapper from the west to a rap fan that listened to nothing but purely east coast rap who would you choose.
Im going with Jayo Felony. He might not have as much classic songs like a 40, cube, or quik but I think Jayo's stlye and flow is one of a kind and unique from everyone else.
-
Sly Boogy. I have gotten at least 5 people that listen to strictly east coast shit to start bumping Sly. It's funny cause at first they all said he was wack as fuck.
-
id maybe agree with jayo felony, he seems to have everything, especially flow
for something more lyrical early kurupt
-
Yeah Kurupt is my fav rapper ever its just I wouldnt want the person to hear nething past 2001 from young gotti, and I thought about Sly Boogy cause he is one some other type shit
-
from my own personal experience. Sly boogy works out and gets a good response.

from my personal experience dj quik and nate dogg work
-
I introduced dj quik to a lot of friends of mine ;D
-
I've introduced Ice Cubes good shit to alot of people out here that hated him and that turned around quickly.
I also introduced Ras Kass to alot of my friends and now some of them say hes their favorite rapper.
I haven't had alot of luck with other rappers from the west though.
-
Dj Quik,Bishop Lamont
-
yeah ^^ quik and lamont works well too. at first my brooklyn friend didnt like quik.. but after awhile he started to realize how good quik actually is.
-
Quik is an artist that takes a lot of listeining to reallly be appreicitated ....Most of my friends thought he wack at first, but then they really started to listen and understood how great he is(well some of them)
-
DJ Quik
X-Raided
-
Game...since he only seems to want to work with East Coast producers/rappers anyway. ;D
Many East Coast heads I know like Ice Cube from his "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted" days (since he had the Bomb Squad producing for him), and many of them can also appreciate Ras Kass and Xzibit.
-
i even get the ladies to bump some g-funk (over here in germany) haha :)
-
It's kinda ironic that so many rappers on the East Coast think they can be Crips or Bloods (i.e. Dipset) just because they listen to old N.W.A. and 2Pac tapes, yet so many of them also talk about how the West Coast has no talent.
-
lot of them crooked I (cause he spits hot shit and has dope beats), game(east coast style west coast born), basicly some one who can spit... rass kass
-
CRooked i with out a doubt,Sly boogy 2,But i was have 2 go with crooked i because he really is the best when it come 2 this rap shit,I already got females up in new jerzey that was saying westcoast rap is wack 2 bump crooked,She also agreed that crooked i is the best rapper after she heard some of his shit

word... all that DJ Quik, CMW, MC Eiht, NWA influence on gang activity outside of LA but they stlll give no love to the westcoast...
-
The Liks, Kam, Mac Dre & Quik
-
ras
-
They already know about Cube...
From my experience, there are barely any modern west coast rappers who get a good response from East Coast heads. I definitely don't see Jayo gettin a good one, because they seem to only like rappers who spit perfectly on beat ALL the time and use a lotta punchlines and multis...that's like the only thing many of em seem to care about. So they like some of Sly's shit, some of Crooked, some Ras, maybe some Murs, maaybe some Bishop (but they knock him for sayin he sounds like Jay-Z), some Glasses Malone, but not much of anybody else. They seem to hate E-40, Suga Free, they think Quik is iite, they like some new Snoop, they like Game of course, they like some old Bad Azz and some Eastsidaz, like old Kurupt.
So yeah...just because we seem to like rappers n think they are dope doesn't mean the east does at all. They have a completely diff value system for what makes a rapper dope to them, and then some are close-minded and won't ever admit that they like certain rappers.
-
hmm Techniec maybe coz i think he got a style that is more close to the NY style. same goes with Crooked I coz most WC rappers are great at story telling but their lyrics are kinda so so but Crooked and Tech are both very lyrical and they don´t always spit that average WC shit. Crooked´s old style would´ve been right up NY´s alley coz it feels like he used to use a lot more crazy punchlines a few years ago and NY just loves to hop on the cocks of punchline rappers.

southern shit is real popular in new york for some reason now. that southern shit isn't lyrical at all. so i'm not so sure you need someone lyrical to do it.
-
smigg dirtee 8)
-
This guy from New York was bashing the shit out of my music, so I went and turned on Tha Dogg Pound's "New York, New York" and he shut the fuck up after I did that. ;D Funny thing is, he is from QB and he is 27, but has never heard of Screwball. I should have slapped him right then and there.
-
Andre Nickatina, Dogg Pound, DJ Quik
From personal experience, I know this shit works...I got hella eastcoast heads diggin' all those rappers I named

That's just because it's hot as a style..but most typical rap heads in NY, mainly the 16-25 black male crowd, still don't like much southern rap. They only like the beats to it
